Posted by: FuZzBoM - 18-01-12, 12:09 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

Hi all,

Know its a long shot that anyone has a CBF1000 on a fazer forum lol but you don't know if you don't try..
Selling these for my father-in-law. They are in good condition only covered less than 1000 miles before he sold the bike.

http://www.laser-exhausts.com/wp-content...ure_en.pdf

They are the stainless steel option and go for £560 new, looking for £200 if possible or open to sensible offers.

Based in Milton Keynes, collection preferred but can post if needed.

Email me at r0b3rt@hotmail.com if interested.
thanks, Rob

Turns over but wont fire up fzs 600 (98)
Posted by: fazersharp - 17-01-12, 09:30 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (19)

Was a member of the old forum now this. To save any questions --History first Had the bike 11 years - never seen rain or wet with me, damp cloth at worse. I replaced with braided hoses and done the light mod about 5 years ago.
Don't ride much, bought with 5k on the clock and now still only on 15k. Always ridden in the winter so long as dry.(rather do this that just stand and warm it up.) I keep it in a clean condition in a garage Never had a starting problem -in fact almost starts as my thumb just gets near the button, as if to say "come on come on ---lets go"
Never replaced the battery or spark plugs or air filter as aint broke -didn't fixit.
PROBLEM Last time I went out it was a little stubborn to start- I thought it may be because it had been a little longer this time since last started. Anyway started and off I went - stopped once or twice with no problems restarting. Today would not start, ignition all as normal, lights ect with the pump clicking away as normal turns over as normal but would not fire up, took out spark plugs and saw no obvious problems cleaned them a bit and put back and tried some more, now battery almost flat.
1st thing I am going to do is get a battery charger I will post another thread for help on that one. Then a set of spark plugs Any other ideas

really chuffed, a while ago i filled out a form following a trade exhibition we had attended, there was a prize draw, but i just wanted to let them know some really frustratingly bad bits about the 2 days there, as well as some good, i got a phone call, could i help with a phone interview to expand on what i had written, it would take about 30 mins and i would get £25 cheque, idid and the cheque duly came, same lady phoned me today to say i have won the top prize - an ipad - chuffed or what Smile Smile Smile Smile

  Play Misty for me!
Posted by: ghostbiker - 17-01-12, 04:37 PM - Forum: General - Replies (17)

Well a month or 2 back I got my self a lovely Shoei Qwest helmet, Love it. its about the best thing I have worn on my head (apart from a foe's grandma that i once skinned but thats another story).
Light, warm and dosent get buffeted about half as much as the AGV S4 I had before.

But one of the best things is the Pin Lock insert. I have never used them before and once it was fitted right (first try was not great, 2nd has been spot on)

But this has shown up a problem else where! I wear Glasses, this wasnt an issue before realy as the visor misted up so I had to ride with a slight gap when this happened.
But now with the Qwest being warm and mist free the specs fog up realy fast.
On my old visors I used to use a Pink Stick i got years ago from the NEC and it worked a treat, it also works well on bathroom mirror Tongue but i have treated the spec's a few times now and it dosent seem to be having any effect at all.

so I am on the lookout for something that would work well on the spec's to stop them misting.
Idealy Laser eye surgery or contacts lol but i cant afford the first and the 2nd i just cant seem to get on with.

So any ideas?
there's loads on the market but i have tried a few in the distant past with no joy as far as visors go, but it dose seem to be diff for glass's as to visors on what works.

I have an appointment scheduled which requires the services of my old arch enemy.............Agent Picolax.

For those not familiar with this fiendish potion grab a coffee, sit back and read the following thread from BLU-TONE.
I honestly have never laughed so hard out loud.
WARNING...............if you are in the office and supposed to be working, read it later at home, NOT on the train or bus.

Got a problem with BBCiplayer, downloaded their latest version and since then every programme I download wont play as I get the message
"Licence Pending" Emailed iplayer website and eventually got a reply telling me to look in FAQ`s etc (which I had already done) Uninstalled Iplayer and adobe air then re-installed them both but it didn`t make any difference. BBC dont seem very interested in this problem, any one got any suggestions on what I can do to solve it.  :pc
