  Bluetooth headset
Posted by: shady - 19-02-12, 12:48 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

For sale a cellular line Interphone bluetooth headset, upgraded to the F4 which does bike to bike while this will do pillion to rider, connect with your phone or sat nav no problem. The audio clarity is exceptional even when travelling at 70mph l've spoke to folk who didn't realise l was on the bike the sound is that good, used it to provide voice information from my TomTom rider, the battery life is amazing, boxed, with instructions and fittings, picture is the actual item attached to my helmet, lookng for £55 + postage as its as new condition.   Quitting smoking....Day 6
Posted by: helen - 18-02-12, 11:41 PM - Forum: General - Replies (31)

Yeah I know, I've been trying to quit for years!  But this time I've made it to day 6.  Smile

So far so good using the cold turkey method.  I've been grumpy, bad tempered, restless and wanted to rip the heads off small children BUT I'm feeling better for it and looking forward to a smoke-free future.

Hopefully I'll notice the difference when I get back into training for my first enduro event this year.  Got a Kawasaki MX125 up and running, goes like the wind, falls over easily and is light enough to pick up again  :o

Posted by: cable tie - 18-02-12, 10:27 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (8)

Sad  Ayup fella's ive had a week ill not forget ! so here goes tueday 14th i was heading north on the m1 to do a job i leave the m1 at junc29 taking the slip rd and going right on the island keeping in the right hand lane taking the 5th exit down the 617 to mansfield as i indicate to leave the island a car rams straight into the passenger side at speed pushing me into the high kerb and than off rd i take 4 lamp post signs out before the van comes to a stop.

Anyway turns out the stupid WOMAN driver was in the wrong lane and she wanted to get back on the motorway fookin brill !!

here's whats left of a immaculate and i mean it twas really immaculate astra van

Front leg is badly damaged A-arm is bent, Drive shaft snapped and lots of bent bits wheel had to be removed as it folded and the inner wing has some big creases and pushed back.

Now lets see what the other side is like!

Square wheels 1&2 and split!!

Wheel 3 badly split.

It all happened very fast and the only thing that i can remember thinking before the van came to a stop, is this is going to hurt as i took the huge signs out  Sad  the police are prosecuting the woman and she and her insurance have accepted full liability the recovery brought the van home because i had tools i needed to get out however some have been damaged and my satnav and phone kit is fooked as well..

  Fazer Carburettor Jets Blocked
Posted by: moto12 - 18-02-12, 08:53 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

Hi There
Can anyone please help me identify the type of jet seen in below image next to blue arrow.  I've spent days trying to clear the jets but the hole is so small I'm finding it nigh on impossible.
Soaked jets in carb cleaner, meths, boiled in lemon juice and blown out with compressed air but still no joy.  I've only stripped two carbs down so far and I've got the same issue with the same jet both carbs.  The reason I decided to clean the carbs was because cylinder 2 was not firing properly at low to mid rev range.  Oh, I've also tried poking jet hole with copper wire but the wires so thin that its not strong enough to push through them.

Almost about to give up on them.

Any advice anyone.. Thanks!

  Wanted: Air Filter Cover...
Posted by: adeejaysdelight - 18-02-12, 06:08 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a spare air filter cover for an FZS 600, 98-03 model?

Its not the rubber one I'm after, but the one that feeds the air into the filter itself.

Happy to pay for it, so please check your garage.

Thank you...
