  Carb caps removal???
Posted by: dickturpin - 17-02-12, 10:16 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Any tips for getting the rubber caps off the carbs to allow a carb balance to be done? No, I haven't got any of those long reach plier things with a bent nose!! .....Hoping the answer won't be 'Get some of those long reach plier things with a bent nose!'

Has anyone done a long trip on a Fazer. Thinking of going to Assen for this years Moto GP. Got to get from Cornwall to the tunnel first.
What would be a reasonable, sustained cruising speed  and how long between breaks on average, bearing in mind I'm an old git

  Not so much a newbie...

Hello again all.

It's been a long time, but after having a poke around the new forums, it's nice to see all the old folk I've met in the past again.

Bit of background - I joined several years ago and have attended a few meets in my time. Had several legs pulled in the process and gained multiple custom titles. Enough to take a page of A4  :b . Made some new friends who I'd love to meet again soon.

I sold the '03 Foxeye Fazer 6 back in September 2010 after roughly 68k (at least 60k of those were mine) on the clock (2nd engine too). I treated myself to a brand new BMW R1200GS for the comfort, fantastic torque, interesting looks and gadgets it comes with!

I hope I can still use these forums as an ex-foccer and have quite a few Fazer bits and bobs left that I'd like to sell soon.

Neo

Mine has just gone pop, potentially permanently, what are the good makes for replacement? I seem to recall Worcester Bosch being mentioned a fair bit, any others?

  Fork seal replacement bits
Posted by: DryRob - 16-02-12, 03:48 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

Looks like my fork seals have finally given up so I've got plenty to do at weekend now.

I've read pointer2nulls guide on the old site, is there anything else I should look out for that isn't mentioned?
http://fazerowners.yuku.com/reply/196600...es-and-Oil

I know I need these parts:

dust seal x2
oil seal x2
retaining clip x2
inner bush x2
outer bush x2
fork oil x1 L

I'm thinking of doing the bushes at the same time but am having trouble sourcing some. Does anyone know where I can get some individually or as part of an overhaul kit with all the other seals?

Time to once again show off my computer skills and knowledge of tech talk  :rolleyes
When you look at the users online, what are spiders ?

While on the users online subject, why can't the online users names be placed below all the links at the top of the page (like the old site) so you can see who is online while you are.
