  Headlights are awfully dim
Posted by: FatRakoon - 21-11-19, 09:54 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (20)

Hi guys.
Only just bought the Fazer 600 ( 2000 Model ) a couple of weeks ago.

Now, I see that it works with one light being DIP and the other light being full beam, however, the amount of light that they produce is close to useless.

I live in North Wales and I use lots of windy roads, and while I am not a fast rider anymore anyway, the light I do use, means that Im riding around at a possibly dangerously slow speed.
Even on the expressway, on full beam, I can ride right behind a car, with my lights in the rear window, and it does not blind the driver ( yes, I tested it with a mate, not a stranger LOL )

Ok, so enough whinging, is this normal? Surely not, and what are the best / brightest bulbs I can put into the Fazer, without any stress on the electrics?

I am considering a few toys for the Fazer, forward controls ( or at least footpegs ) , rear rack , and extra lights, but Id rather simply put proper decend bulbs in to be honest.

  New owner
Posted by: Fazian - 17-11-19, 10:30 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (4)

Just introducing myself people. I have just bought an FZ1 2007 57 plate in green 20k on the clock, looks great but I don't get it until Saturday. I rode back in my teens and haven't owned a bike since so it's all new to me again. "Born Again Biker" I think is the phrase.  :lol

I'll be popping in now and again for advice etc.. and to put my 2p worth in on anything interesting!

Little bit disappointed that the riders didn't get around Lorenzo on the slowing down lap,he's never been the most popular rider but still a great racer I think it would have been nice to see him get a better send off by his fellow competitors. :\

  FZ1 Immobiliser bypass ??
Posted by: harley metisse - 16-11-19, 09:02 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (1)

Hi, has anyone on here had any experience of using these immobiliser bypass plug in units ?
I bought my Fz1, 2007 model, and it arrived with only one black key, no red master key, hence if these things work, I will do away with the factory fitted immobiliser and just rely on the trusty chain and huge padlock as I always have done with every other bike I have had.
Any info welcome....
Cheers

How does the electricity market work?
Posted by: agricola - 15-11-19, 03:19 PM - Forum: General - Replies (20)

Had a pamphlet dropped through the letter box yesterday for my electricity distribution network operator. It states that they deliver power to my home, and receive around 17% of my household bill, paid to them by my provider.

The question is, if the deliverer is delivering to my home, what am I paying the provider for, who is taking the other 83%?

Cant quite get my head around how this system operates

  Front sprocket?
Posted by: Decoke Dave - 14-11-19, 05:52 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Is the original FZS 1000 front sprocket, (as fitted to the bike when supplied) a silent rubber damped type?  If not, is it worth fitting one?
