  Test rides with restricted licence
Posted by: BBROWN1664 - 09-04-12, 08:50 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

My eldest is convinced he will pass his bike test this summer. At 17 he can only do he restricted (125) test and be limited for two years to 33bhp. He is also convinced he wants a bigger bike with a restrictor kit. How would he get a test ride though on a bike as the dealers would not fit  a restrictor kit just or a test ride. That's if hey let a 17yr old out at all!

  trx 850 swingarm
Posted by: mike26 - 09-04-12, 06:55 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

hi, ok
i saw this on a few thread lower down,
just wondering does anyone know if it will actually fit ok,
im not bothered about the length being a few mm shorter to be honest, i would like to put one on my bike (due to paddock lugs) as i dont want to weld or drill/tap my stock swingarm mainly do to the fact i dont know how strong it would be e.g. could it actually take the bikes weight.

i already have the thou real caliper so im guessing if the swingarm fits without machining i would just need the torque arm and caliper bracket as well as swingarm obv from the trx 850?

im assuming shock linkages are the same??

anyone give me some more information into this or a general swingarm swap for fzs 600 (swingarm from another bike)

Hi there Foccers,
I'm a 41 year old dane who've been lurking on here for quite a while. So I thought it was time to join this forum.
I've got a lava red '06 FZ1s with a few mods; Puig DB, Akrapovic slip-on, K&N- filter, PC V, Autotune, WP shock, ASV levers, HEL brakelines og Poly26 bellypan.

Ready to be fitted: VentureShield, C.D. Flies...

I had a small accident a couple of years ago which left my poor bike a bit scratched, so I'm having it resprayed at the moment. I'm really looking forward to having it on the road again.

Eyup, I've been looking at FZ1s for sale and there's quite a few US import bikes on the market , what are the differences in spec (if any) between these and UK spec bikes ? Cheers, Fletch

  Screen bolts
Posted by: Dead Eye - 09-04-12, 11:19 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (6)

Hi all,

Well for the second time in a week, my dad has decided he doesnt like my bike and tried to kill it...

Unfortunately, the second time he decided to use his car to reverse in to it  :'( Not too much damage as the house kind of broke its fall and only the wing mirror and front fairing took a beating. In the process though, the strain popped part of the screen off of the front fairing which sheered off several of the plastic bolts holding it on.

Does anyone have an idea on the specs of these bolts? I assume they are plastic to prevent the screen / fairing from shattering / snapping.

Thanks all Smile

Sad Time as am thinking of maybe selling my FZ1
Posted by: chaparral02 - 09-04-12, 01:53 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (10)

The last of my biking friends i go riding with and touring with is selling his motorbike as he very short on funds and needs the money...
With none my other mates owning a motorbike anymore, i don't know if it really worth me keeping my FZ1 as i don't seem to get much enjoyment anymore when going out riding on my own or feel like going touring on my own..
I live in guernsey which is a very small island and has a 35mph max speed limit,So most my riding fun use to mainly comes from me and my mates taking are motorbikes away to france..

I love my bike and have been riding motorbikes from the age of 14 (am now 43)
I really don't know what i want to do right now...

He lives in Furzton if you know MK..

It is the other half's bike and she is rather upset as it was of the road and not insured. so a total loss...
