Hi everyone. When I bought my fazer 4 years ago it came with no grab rails, I bought a pair straight away off eBay, I sold the bike two years ago and a few weeks ago I came across it for sale and decided to buy her back. Guess what no grab rails again. This time I can't find any. Does anyone have any that they would like to sell?

On way back stopped off at pub for a small roset jumped back on for the short blast home and she wouldnt start ended up having to jump her :lol got home 10 mins later and put her on the optimate charged her overnight read the hot poop on batterys and looked at other posts but i need more help please. Went out today and bought a multimeter these are the results.
Battery ater 12 hours optimate 13.9v
Battery 5 hours later 12.9v
Battery on starting her up cranking over etc 10.8v
Battery on tickover 14.14v
Battery lights on full beam 12.8v and heated grips 12.25v
Battery lights on full beam and heated grips revving at 3000rpm 13.8v

Dreaded Front Sprocket |

Just took the sprocket cover off for a bit of cleaning/inspection. Found that the sprocket is only being held on by the tab washer. I was a little surprised as although I knew of others having the problem it never happened on my previous Fazer.
Quick Google search found this excellent site and article...

Within 5 minutes I'd phoned the local stealer, they'd taken my details and submitted something to Yamaha. Waiting to hear back to get it booked in and fixed.
Many thanks to John Silva for the topic.

Hello - new to the forum and looking to buy a 2006 FZ1s, 20,000 miles, standard other than a Power Commander. Before I commit to buying, just wondered what things I need to ask/check that are specific to the model? I'll do all the 'any bike' checks of course.
- does this model have the exup like the first gen? presumably I should ask if it has been regularly maintained?
- is it likely that the Power Commander is there to help sort the fuelling issues assocaited with the early FZ1S?
- any areas of specific issues I need to ask about?
Thanks

Had a thought this morning while eating my Cornflakes.
My old FZS6 has adjustable front forks and my new(er) FZ6S does not
While I am quite happy with the suspension of the FZ6, I was wondering whether the fork tops from an FZS6 would fit on the top of the FZ6S forks... I have sonfused myself now with all these FZ's :o
