I was wainting to pull out of a T juction in Dulwich today and I saw a young Jay perched on some railings calling to what I asumed was its mother on the pavement. My view was restricted by the passenger door. When stone me! up flies a Magpie and starts feeding it.I know that other birds are fooled into rearing Cookoos, and that Crows, Rooks, Ravens magpies and Jays as well as others or all part of the same sub order. But a Magpie feeding a Jay! How unusual is this in the bird world?
I though that maybe the Magpie might have lost it's young or something and had taken up foster caring.

I am looking at the Kriega tail packs. Can anyone on here share their thoughts, good or bad on them. The one thing I was thinking was how well they fit on the pillion seat of an FZ1.
Cheers

Hi all, i have recently purchased a FZS1000 as a step up from my 600.
My initial thought was to keep it but the Mrs says no so it must go.
Bike Make : Yamaha
Bike Model : FZS600
Year : 2003
Price : £2100 ono
MOT: 28Th Oct 2012
TAX: 31st Jan 2013
Mileage : 18134 (may go up slightly)
Colour : Blue
Extras : Meta M357T alarm/immobiliser, Hyperpro fork and shock spring upgrade (best mod i ever did but will supply originals if wanted), Chrome Crash bars, body colour rear hugger, light smoked screen (will include original blue one with sale if wanted), pipercross air filter.
Overall Bike Condition : condition of the bike is fairly good. a few scratches to bodywork but expected with the age of the bike i guess. mechanically very sound. normally starts without any choke and runs sweet.
Tyre/Chain/Sprocket Condition : Tyres replaced 300 miles ago to a set of Bridgestone BT023's, Chain and sprocket plenty of life left.
Service History/Receipts/Recent Service work : service stamps until 2007/14000 miles but receipts to show has been serviced. Has been sat in a local dealer for over 18 months and then in someones garage for about a year before that i believe. serviced 400 miles ago with quality oil and oil filter. iridium plugs and did a Carb balance while i was there.
Bike Location : Milton Keynes
Any Other Relevant Info : All in all a nice bike, it will be a shame to see her go but i cannot justify (to the Mrs) keeping both bikes. The bike is currently insured so would be willing to deliver if not too far given i have to get home again :lol
Contact details: Tel 07710 468 689 or email me r0b3rt@hotmail.com
I will get some pictures up shortly and add them to the thread.
Thanks for looking

A mate of mine is trying for a driving job but we need a covering letter. I've started but the old insperational juices have dried up...
so far we have:
Quote:I am a mature profession driver who has worked in a wide variety of driving situations during my career - from high speed ambulance driving to transporting spinal injury patients in as gentle a mannor as possible.
I have a relaxed and friendly mannor and I am able to stay calm in high stress enviroments.
Any other ideas?

FZS600 factory exhaust and link pipe, as new |

Having a clear out and found the original can and link pipe wrapped up in bubble wrap at the back of the shed. It was only on the bike for a week and then the race can went on.
It was sprayed with WD40 wrapped up and tucked away along with the original chain guard in the race can box which it's still in.
I've still got my Fazer with about a million miles on her and still user her daily, I doubt I'll ever need the original exhaust though and as I'm moving house I need to de-clutter.
Make me an offer...
There's also a scratched alternator cover which I replaced after a drop and the chain guard, which can go with the exhaust for free if you want them.
