  carb rubbers available
Posted by: scottyboy2203 - 15-04-12, 06:26 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (5)

anybody want a set of 4 '99 plate fzs600 carb rubbers? taken off a breaker engine, in good condition with usual cosmetic 'cracking' outside appearance. No cracking through the rubber and still has lots of life left.

want to get rid so £30 seems fair for the lot (+postage of course)

Hi EveryoneWell today, after a lifetime of owning Hondas (a total of 13 over 40 years - with a brief departure into Ducatis, big mistake), I am now the proud owner of an immaculate 2002 FZS 600 Fazer. After searching for 2 weeks for a decent Hornet fruitlessly after my CB500 hack suddenly needed serious dosh spent on it to pass it's MoT, I finally hit on this Fazer and couldn't resist. Although 10 years old it's in pristine condition, only 13,000 miles on the clock (hardly run in) and with useful accessories. Plus it was within my budget (which helps). So far, after a 50 mile introductory trip out, I am more than pleased with it (mid range seems sluggish compared with the Hornet but can't fault it otherwise). Using the revs, 80mph to 120mph is very impressive for a 600 (sorry officer, just testing it out).I have already ordered a carbon fibre slip on can - from Simmie Performance Exhausts. I can't recommend this company too highly. I have bought from them before and their products are excellent. Each can is hand made to a very high standard and they look great, sound great and are not hideously expensive. Check them out here (via Ebay):http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260738036226?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649What I would like to ask is does anyone know where I can get a decent tail tidy for the Fazer? Can't seem to find a suitable one anywhere. Any info would be appreciated.Cheers all - happy and safe riding,Tony Bale (very happy Liverpool fan so today has been a double bubble happiness day!)

Renthal 754 Low Superbike bars with grips and end caps SOLD
Posted by: mcyoungy - 14-04-12, 09:54 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

Renthal 754 Low Superbike bars in black with ally bar ends and Renthal grips (medium I think). Right hand grip has throttle tube for carbed thou and 600; don't know if it fits FI bikes.

Ideal if you want something a bit less of a reach than stock. They have slightly more sweep and rise than the 758 Ultra Low bars. These were fitted to my thou with standard hoses and cables without a problem.

£20 the lot posted or will split if needed.

dimensions here:

Fazer thou might be on the cards....

As a young rider 1l bikes were out of the question, i'm 22 and held a full license for 11 months.

quoted £1,700 TPFT to insure a thou, soon as i get 2 years ncb and held a license for a year it drops to £400  :eek

May have to part with my trusty 600 fzs next month  :evil

  School boy error

so my throttle was slack, spent ages removing the tank, the bar that holds the fuel filter on just to get at the nut which adjusts the throttle at the carbs.

only to notice theres an adjuster right next to the throttle  :rolleyes

lesson learned

gave me chance to clean the filter though

  Belly pan brackets
Posted by: james43 - 14-04-12, 08:28 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (3)

Hi all,

I've been a cheapskate and bought a really shitty cheap belly pan off flea bay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320879182832?s...1423.l2649

I'm having it colour coded so not overly worried.

However after offering it up to the bike it dosen't seem to be a snug fit and there are no brackets with it albeit a couple of recess holes with no bolts.

i'm guessing a start would be if you can identify what make of pan it is.

Any help will be appreciated

Cheers

James43
