pretty miffed at the mo' with ebay sellers.
in my opinion (not that it matters much), if you pay £15 postage for a givi pannier to be delivered then i'd expect it 48hrs delivery, not 8 days and counting.
it'll be interesting for see which of the 2 i bought get here first, the £6.99 or the £15 as i paid for both on the same day.
i think that some sellers think that they have little or no obligations once the money is in their account and forget that ebay is just a (very expensive) shop window and that they are the shop keeper.

yours miffed and pannier-less

oh, the wingrack is fitted now Big Grin

Feeling guilty-not stopping for biker down.
Posted by: dazza - 09-05-12, 03:08 PM - Forum: General - Replies (18)

Sad On my way to the Mayday Hastings bike run I approached a roundabout near orpington, there I saw a bike on its side and a biker sitting on the verge. I stopped to assess the situation and could see he was on the phone. Mindful of my 8 year old daughter on the back of me and lack of safe places for her to stand not to mention the crowds of people standing behind the armco barrier who appeared to be doing nothing. I assumed he was not badly injured and carried on. Being a trained 1st aider I could not help feeling a tad guilty as I rode away which wasn't helped by the sight of an ambulance tearing round the M25 in his direction.  Didn't like that feeling but knew I would have been more concerned about putting my daughter in danger by stopping. Your thoughts please.

Renntec rack for your grab rail - 98 FZS600
Posted by: ElkWorks - 09-05-12, 01:37 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

As title, got a really clean renntec, which is no use to me, stock grab rail is missing, so im after one of those.

Bike is a red on, so that would be ideal, but any colour considered. plus money my way.

Can get photos if needed.

Located in Stafford, or can do posting.

  Spring on the gear selector
Posted by: mobile mouse - 08-05-12, 10:40 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

I thought I was going potty.

Sometimes when going up the gearbox I change gear and when I want to change up again the foot lever moves as it is supposed to but there is NO gear selected.

Try again and you change gear as normal.
I thought I was going mad but I am not.....
It can happen between 2-3gear 4-5 and even in 6th.

You change gear and then you can move the gear selector as you do when changing gear but no gear is selected.
It's like the spring which returns the lever is getting tired.
Has anyone else come across this and if so what is the fix....

I found the following ....

http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/...HAFT&uid=0

see item 2 listed as spring torsion....

Been looking on the internet and there comments about shift shaft spring problems and people have commented about two springs.

A return spring and a much smaller 'reset spring' on the other side of the gearbox. Could they be getting tired.

Bike is a MY03 with 28k miles on the clock.
Help required.

Hello all,
Newbie from the emerald isle. Managed to crawl out from under the rock that is the irish economy and scrape the price of a 2000 Fazer 600 to get me back on the road after losing me 2 bikes 3 years ago. This place looks full of good info so I'm off to have a root around.
Cheers Colly
