Charge voltages |

I recently had a flat battery. First ever lol but i think my regulator is dying. Does anyone know charging voltages lights on, lights off etc. Upon first investigation i found a burn mark on the plug of the regulator. This i have sorted by removing the offending pin. and replacing with a new one. But i'm not sure if my voltages are correct. Its a 2002 foxeye which if i have read correctly got stronger electrics to cope with the extra permanent dip beam.
Lights off 14.02v
Lights on 13.05v
Ign only 12.5v
Ign off 12.7v
Thanks in advance.

Sticky steering lock / ignition barrel |

If I put my key in the ignition switch, my steering lock is sometimes reluctant to come off again (goes on no problem, and putting it on "park" with sidelights is no problem either), and sometimes sticks slightly (though to a lesser extent) when turning the ignition on (does it with both black keys). FWIW, I do have a fairly hefty bunch of keys.
Other locks (seat) are no problem.
At the moment I'm reluctant to simply spray WD40 or similar down it (fear of damaging the immobiliser transceiver).
Anyone else experienced this problem? Its a 2008 Fazer 600 S2 ('58 plate).

Temperamental tail brake light... |

Afternoon...
I checked my rear brake light this morning and something's wrong. The lever gives a "click" as if the microswitch is opening but the tail light doesn't immediately turn on, it's only when I squeeze a good 2cm past the "click" does it come to life. What's more worrying is that it doesn't come at all in 1 out of 4 squeezes :eek
I'm guessing the light is meant to come on at the "click"? The rear pedal works fine BTW and activates the light straight away.
Microswitch problems? I might take it out and give it a clean when it stops raining on Tuesday.

Hi all, there's one thing which REALLY drives me nuts about some Yamahas and that's those bright blue parts of the caliper which look out of place on anything but a blue bike.
I notice the new Tenere has gold ones. Are they interchangeable or what?
I know it's only a little thing, but I also know it will bug the life out of me, lol.
