  Renntec Rack Owners
Posted by: Phil TK - 02-06-12, 12:41 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

I just got one of these neat little packs that are custom made to fit on Renntec racks. They are well made and just the right size for commuting or popping to the shops. I can get a loosely folded shirt, my waterproofs and other bits and bobs in there, plus if needed it is expandable and is big enough to take a full face lid. It attaches securely to the rack with velcro and a buckle and detaches in seconds, 'comes with a shouder strap and handle, 'also has a water-resistant lining. I'd been looking for something this sensible and convenient for years.
Best of all, these used to be £55 but are now twenty quid delivered. Reccomended.

  HELLO FROM BOLTON - FZS1000
Posted by: MadDogMcQ - 02-06-12, 10:25 AM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (3)

Hi all,
My name's Tom. I live in Horwich just outside Bolton (just around the corner from the well known biker haunt - Rivington Barn).

I've had about 40 bikes over the years and most of them have been Hondas, but mixed in there have also been Triumphs, Moto Guzzis, BMW's, Suzukis and even a brand new FJR1300. Yesterday, I walked into a dealership and bought me a 2007 Fazer Thou. It's actually the 2005 model but it wasn't registered til 07. I'll be picking it up in a week or so and I'm VERY much looking forward to it. I'm currently riding a CBR600 and love it (I've had four), but I just spotted this Fazer and thought "Mmmm, I've always fancied one of those", so I bought it.

I'm knocking on a bit now (53), so the upright position of the Fazer is probably much more sensible than the CBR's.  I'm looking forward to having 150BHP on tap and lots of torque. I bought a new CBF1000 in 2006 but found it to be very dull - the Fazer seems to have so much more "ooomph"!

Anyway, here's the only photo I have of the bike until next week (and then I'll be boring everyone to death with pix) lol.

I nearly had some quite serious near misses, and I thought to myself 'If I am going to die, I should really have that on film . . . . . .might be funny'

So got meself a helmet cam. Anyway, I am still alive so in the meantime I thought I'd upload some amusing things I see on me journeys . . .

I was in a bar on Saturday night, and had a few...

I noticed two very large women at the bar.

They both had strong accents so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Scotland?"

One of them snarled: "It's WALES you friggin' moron!"

So, I immediately apologized and said ...,

"So sorry…. are you two whales from Scotland?"  :rollin

Anyone know where there is a list of paint colurs for the FZ6?

I have a speckly dark blue one and just looking at some accessories on Ebay that are a different colout so maybe considering a can or three and re-finish them to match the bike

I see someone mentioned stickers- what about Foccer T shirts?

I have an FZ6.com T shirt from America and there must be so many good slogans we could make out of FOC-U and Foccers- only limited by our imagination and then get a load printed

Anyone got access to a T shirt printer or some graphics design? Maybe even the photshop Fazer up the top of the screen made up of all the models?

  NEW BIKE??
Posted by: Skinbeatersam - 01-06-12, 08:27 PM - Forum: General - Replies (25)

Alright dudes

My Fazer is old and I am quite possibly not the right home for the old girl, so I might be selling or part exing. . . . .  :'(
So which bike to get next??

There are a lot of 0% finance deals on and I am thinking that maybe, I might just treat myself, especially as I can't afford to put down the full amount right now.

Does anyone have any recommendations, advice or opinions??
