hi guys my fazer 600 t plate i am pretty sure its running rich as the spark plugs are very dark/black and every time i come home the bike stinks of petrol what can i do to sort this many thanks from kevin

an astonishing piece of news given how much progress has been made this season...BMW only going to race as Motorrad Italia, with just 2 riders.

does this mean bmw are cash strapped ?...or are they planning a foray into motoGP?

maybe GS sales have dropped !...and economies have to be made...blame Triumph !!     

Here's the story...
I was heading home from work the other day and experienced these noises from my bike.
Approaching a roundabout in the wet, not going too fast, if anything a bit slower than normal due to the wetness, about 40mph and a good 100 yards from the car in front.
Pulled on the front brake and added a bit of back, nothing happened. I kept going.
Then I realised that the back brake had locked up and the rear end was sliding in a nice straight line, so much so I didn't notice for about 10 yards until I thought, the back of that car is getting very close indeed!!
Let the brakes off and reapplied to try to get some grip whereupon a horrid clunking crunching clacking sound came from beneath me.
It sounded like a cross between dropping it into first gear without the clutch and rattling a tin bucket of spanners around.
It lasted about a second, scared the crap out of me as it was loud and I'm sure I felt the bike jump, like it had gone over a speed bump.
I had to swerve around the car and drop into the middle of two lanes braking about 30 feet further on, surprising a fair few of the cage drivers around me.
I gathered myself and pulled away smoothly with the bike being no worse for the event, but what was that awful noise?
I hadn't noticed before but now of course I hear every clink and clack coming from under me.
I can now hear what sounds like the clutch basket clattering around like a cheap salad spinner.

The front brake is crap and the back bites like a dog, new pads needed?

And what on earth was that noise??? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

When cruising around town,20-30 mph open the throttle and pulls then judders, like missfiring pulls more missfires a little bit the goes well, not noticable at higher speeds, shut the throttle at speed and open again its fine.


Its just 20 to 40 mph when opening the throttle a little or alot.


Battery is fully charged, fresh petrol in, shells best.


Anyone any ideas?

Hi this is my first post so hello! Got my bike About a week ago and had my rear tyre replaced on Friday, I seem to be getting a slight clunking noise and slight feeling through the left peg when off the power and slowing down. It seems to go away when accelerating or maybe I just can feel it any ideas what it could be??

Hi everyone.. went on a ride today from warwickshire to skeggy.. thru the lanes ...at speed my handle bars want to wobble buy slowed down it wasnt the road it dunit a few times today..i think i need a damper but not sure what to buy ..on a budget...i also need a power cmmander anyone tell me what model to look for and what models it fits so i can ebay it..cheers everyone...safe riding..i have a fz1n 06 plate

Does anyone know what spacers fit the indicator hole on a Gen 1 please I need to fill the hole in the rear guard
