I think my clutch cable is correctly adjusted. As per the Haynes manual, there is a few mm of play before the clutch starts to pull.
With the clutch lever pulled all the way in, the clutch is still dragging, turning the back wheel (when on centre stand). It's not by much, it only takes a light touch on the wheel to stop it.
It doesn't give me any trouble when riding, but I do wonder if it will lead to premature wear on the clutch.
Is this normal? Acceptable?

Hi Everyone!
I have been riding for over 40 years but have only ever had Triumphs, Ducatis and (many) Hondas. However I now have a superb 2002 Fazer 600 (with only 12,000 miles on the clock - genuine) and I have to say it's superb! Had it for 2 months and done 2,000 miles. Very impressed. Having had 3 Honda Hornets in a row I have to say it's very hard to say which is the better bike. The 600 Hornet needs to be revved to get the best out of it whereas the Fazer just goes faster the more you open up and is not so peaky. More relaxing ride. Overall handling (I'm not a boy racer any more so don't push to extremes) is similar, perfectly fine for me. The only place where the Hornet wins easily is the lighting. Sorry but the Fazer headlights are poor for night riding - anyone know of a good upgrade?
So, apart from being a very low mileage example, my Fazer is fitted with lots of extras - from the front - front fenda extenda, decent bar end weights, folding clutch/brake levers, belly pan, hugger, hand made after market carbon fibre exhaust. About to fit braided brake hoses and I've just fitted a car-type cigar lighter adapter so I can use my satnav. I'm looking for an undertray at the moment. Anyone know where I can get one for this model? I want this so I can fit a nice tail tidy with an LED rear light and indicators. Then I'll be just about finished with the customising! As you can tell I'm an inveterate fiddler! Will post a few pics when it's all finished.
Tony

Thursday left Yorkshire and travelled south past York to Rugby, then down the Fosse Way to the Cotswolds where I camped the night. Friday picked up from Malmesbury and went via Glastonbury, Minehead, Lynmouth and on to Padstow to camp for night two. Saturday through Newquay and St Ives to Landsend. Turned back via Penzance Truro Plymouth and camped third night at Salcombe. Sunday over Dartmouth Ferry to Torquay, Teignmouth, Exeter, Shaftesbury, Stonehenge and on to Chipping Norton for night four.
Next day through Banbury, Market Harborough, Leicester to A1 and home. 1150miles
of great biking, lots of memories and lessons learnt for trip number three. Having done John o Groats in 2010 I've now done 'end to end' on the Fazer but not as quickly as some have done it!!!

Hi guys,
I just uncovered the bike ready to ride in to the office and it won't start. The lights come on, the petrol gauge goes up and so on but it doesn't even prime the fuel pump and the starter button doesn't do a thing.
It was working fine last time I rode it (a week or two ago). I washed it when I came back from my last ride so I'm wondering if water could have got in somewhere it shouldn't and be causing a problem?
Any ideas anyone?
Scott

Black Friday.....fight back in the peaks
So the PDNPA are going to put a TRO banning Recreational Mechanically Propelled Vehicles from Long Causeway and The Roych Track...............this means us
We will not be able to ride these lanes anymore ever..........and they have a list of other lanes they want to ban us from as well.....
we offered them concessions so that they could have the chance to manage the lanes for everybody.........did they do so NO.
They chose instead to Prohibit us from using them altogether
We have two choices..............1) let them get away with it ..........or do something about it.
Well we are going to do something about it. On the 24th April we put more than a 100 bikes in the Peak district offices carpark. lets see if we cannot do better than that..........I propose that we get more than a 1000 bikes into the Peak District.
So tell all your mates, all the Road Bikers, 4 x4 people to book SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST .....BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY as we are going to have ourselves a protest such as never been seen before in a National Park.
Want do we want ..........we want management not Prohibition. and if the Authority does not listen we will keep doing it until they give in. so i have suggest we repeat it on the 9th and 23rd of September.
watch this space.........please put it all the other forums.
Found this on the trf forum.
