Looking to buy some new trousers soon, and will be considering leather as well as textile. I've never had leather ones in the past, and looking around on t'internet it seems that leather trousers are designed to be worn with the leg bottoms inside yer boots. No good for me, as I've got chunky calf muscles and there's definitely no room inside my boots for anything other than me.
Has anyone got any recommendations for any leather trousers which can be worn outside the boot and still look stylish?

:eek So...... the apparent problem with the radiator fan that stopped the bike from starting has a completely different problem which will virtually scrap the bike. (Still have the problem with the radiator fan I guess)

The mechanic has found the problem- there is corrosion in the plug connecting to the ECU and two pins on the ECU have corroded away and are shorting out the other pins. This is a three year old bike that has done 8000 miles- not a winter hack!

Mechanic says I need a new CPU and possible plug but worse that that I need a new ignition barrel and new set of keys coded to the ECU and the whole bike coded to the ECU as this is the brain of the bike- Estimated cost approaching £2000

I dont have £2000 to spenjd on the bike and so would be grateful if anyone on here knows which years ECU's are compatible with my 2009 FZ6S2? I dont know if earlier versions or later vesions would be suitable and hopefully I can find one on EBAY as a set from a scrap donor bike.

The alternative seems to be scrapping my pride and joy and selling it off in bits (other than the ECU) and hope to make enough money to buy another bike

In the meantime- check under the tank to the rear near the shock absorber and see if any water has been getting in- not sure what to recommend then- unplug it and hope nothing breaks so you can vaseline the pins or leave it alone

Someone must have bought these lovely rearsets at some time, cos the factory/dealers can,t find me any. Anyone got a set for sale? colour irrevelent, good price paid for genuine set. ok. ta.

Not had my fazer running for a few months. Charged the battery up and tried starting it. All that happens is the solenoid clicks frantically. No action from the starter motor. Warned to get it mot'd tomorrow. Any suggestions welcome.

Can anyone help me with this small problem, please? I've converted my '98 Fazer to a cafe racer look with a single headlight. I'm now very pleased with the looks, handling and headlight perfomance (which is about a million times better than standard!).

My problem is now when I switch the dipped beam on, the high beam light on the instrument panel comes on at about half strength and when I switch to main beam it comes on fully.

When I first wired up the light I had the dipped and main beam wired up the wrong way around BUT the main beam light on the panel came on ONLY when the main beam was switched on. The troubles have only started since I've wired the lights correctly simply by switching the connectors around in the plug for the bulb. I checked all the earths and connections and even earthed both the earth wires from the original twin headlight wiring but to no avail. I have changed the main bulbs in the instuments to LED ones but they made no difference to the idiot lights when the headlight wiring was the wrong way around so I'd guess they're not the reason. It's obviously getting a small feed from somewhere. Perhaps I need some resistors somewhere? Any ideas greatly appreciated!

well what can I say well They are baffled but are still loud  :lol no there focking load too load Mr  top would well have me .

well cut a long story short the guy who made the exhaust for me is making some other baffle to go in the exhaust

to quiting it down a bit  :rollin

will post some pics and video when its done and the new baffle fitted .

One of my adjustor bolts sheared inside the singing arm. Unfortunately the screw extractor also sheared so now looking for a replacement swinging arm. I've attached a pic of what I'm after, from looking about some black arms seemed to be box section.



I wondered if anyone had one, has broken a bike or perhaps knew somebody that may have one. Or even could recommend a decent part finder service/website.
