Where's the best deal for a battery !
Posted by: cable tie - 12-08-12, 03:27 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (11)

I noted today as I had left my bike untouched and not plugged in for 2 wks when I came to start as I turned the ign on and the fuel primed things sounded slow, dab of the magic button confirmed and it clicked struggling to start.

So it's not had a battery since I've had it and looks original and always optimised so I'll treat it too a new battery.

Best deal for battery online ! (gen1)

Thx Dave

  FOC-U football league
Posted by: His Dudeness - 12-08-12, 01:37 AM - Forum: General - Replies (58)

The football season is starting next week so if you want to pick your own team and join in feel free. The idea is that you pick a team of 15 player within a budget of £100m and the players are awarded a score each week based on how well they performed in that week's match. You can transfer players in and out during the season and the team with the highest total score at the end of the season wins. For anyone that hasn't played it before there's an auto pick option that picks a team for you to get you started.

Anyone that was in last season's league should still be in this season's one if you log into your old account.

The website is http://fantasy.premierleague.com
The FOC-U league code is 879923-216701

Anyone know of any in West Yorkshire?! Google isn't helping me!

I'm looking to expand my knowledge of what's local so I can go and drool...and am also after a brake lever so am thinking it could be a good idea to swap the pare out while I'm at it.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

  Bloody British weather...!
Posted by: Grahamm - 11-08-12, 08:30 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

On Friday the 3rd I went down to North Devon for my annual surfing and biking holiday and because of the conditions I wore the wet weather textile gear.

So yesterday (having had to come home even though the weather was improving) I damn near got heat-stroke on the return journey because I couldn't get enough cooling! Sad

You just can't win sometimes...

Just saying hello,I have not got a bike other than a cx500 that is a bit in pieces so have decided to get a fazer soon. I have not passed test yet but will do it on the fazer when I get it.I have found info on forums to be ace with the cx so thought I would hang around this one and get some good info and maybe give some advice (I am an engineer)I look forward to some bits and bobs on here.

  Hydraulic Bike Lift ****SOLD****
Posted by: Tiberius Onklevaart - 11-08-12, 04:17 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (6)

Hi folks

My pal Les has fallen on hard times and he is having to sell his bike lift.

It is posted on Gumtree and his number is attached, don't email the ad poster because its his son's friend who posted it as Les can get as far as opening a webpage with a computer.

I can vouch for him and the lift.

It was bought for £350 at the Scottish Bike Show at Ingliston in 2011 and has been kept in a lock up and was rarely used given when it was bought. The lock up is over a mile from his flat and he doesn't have a car so having had a hip replacement a while back he was rarely able to get to the lock up and use it. Having said that, there are a couple of nicks on it but nothing that is going to affect the workings of it. Due to lack of use it is fairly clean as well.

It lifts to around 3 feet high and is great for all types of bike.

If i had my own house and a garage i would be buying it but that will be a while away for me and he's unemployed so it has to go ASAP

Here's a linky

£250 or nearest. Obviously this will be a pick up job, unless you could arrange courier or some alternative to get it where you need it to go.

His number is on there so give him a buzz.

Many thanks
