Hi guys I have just bought a FZS600 and love it to bits it's a 1998 model. I have a couple of problems with it, there first problem is the Speedo isn't working.
I heave been told they don't have a Speedo cable it's a sender box but can see there is a thin wire going to the front wheel and looks like a speedo cable.
Also the rev counter works but then sometimes doesn't work and drops back down to 0k and if it doesn't drop down to 0k it will stick on 4k.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers Lewis

hi, i'm mark in maidenhead berkshire, dont that that put you off lol. I am on my 4th fzs 1000, and they always make me smile, i did 65k on my 1st in just over 3 years a black one, the 2nd i did over 35k until some nice lady car driver put me in hospital for 6 wks by so kindly doin a U-turn right in front of me whilst doin approx 50mph, and as luck would have it, i had a grey one about a year before Another kind lady on her fone run me off the rd 3 weeks ago, writing that one off too !, Yes really & to top that off, she kindly left me in the rd & did a runner with my back to her. Only did 8k in the year sadly.
so i am now the proud owner of a FZS 1000 in yellow, which her old owner put me in touch with you on here.
I ride solo & 2 up, do regular rides, do good long rides out, when car drivers allow & look forward to many more, i am a progressive rider, but good most of time lol.
I would be happy to hook up with like wise solo or couple 2 up's for social events etc, we both are non smokers too.
Look forward to hearing from you fazer lovers soon. mark & mandy, yes really

Had the bike a week now..
Some good miles driving it home and used it on friday for the 70 mile round trip to work with no problems.. Washed it during the lunch break as it was a wet trip up but dry home.
Sunday morning run planned so walks it backwards out the garage onto the road.. Felt a little stiff, brakes binding a little. Thought the 3 miles to meet the mates would loosen it up... It didnt.. In fact it got tighter.
Decided to pop into the local halfords for some brake cleaner. When i got off the bike noticed the back tyre was kinda soft.. Puctured with a bit of windscreen glass bugger.
Got the brakes loosened off a little but no perfect. Still feel a slight drag.. Strip in order when im home.
Fixed the puncture with one of those plug kits and decided to drive the 35 miles to edinburgh to one of the dealers for a better repair or replacement.
A slow trip later i gets there to find the workshop aint open.. Phoned two other dealers with no luck so back home..
Went to take the front wheel off and it needs a special tool.. Dont have it..
Not a giod day at all... Severely ticked off..
