[smg id=538]

Replaced the plugs on my FZ1 a couple of weeks ago (mission!!) and the plug from cylinder 1 was white? What could have caused that then?

Noticed that the bike was running rich and have since had a custom fuel map built and installed onto my PC3 to sort that but clueless as to this white plug??

  Engine bars for FZS1000:
Posted by: b1k3rdude - 12-09-12, 08:04 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (5)

Anyone got a set of engine bars for an FZS1000?

Condition isn't important, but they have to be 'mostly' straight and not scuffed up too badly.

Biker Down ..... essential first aid course sponsored by Powys County Council

To train you in the first bike on the scene first aid. Hopefully we will never need this training but it has to be vital to know how to help a fellow biker if the  worst happens on a ride out- or even if you are in your car and come across a fellow biker after an accident.

There will be no charge for the course and it will be open to anyone, not just Powys residents. The organisers can take about 20 on each course, this is only down to everyone being able to practice the first aid or we'd take more.

The ambition is to run two courses a month, depending on the appetite for it, spread between Newtown, Llandod and Brecon Fire Stations and if a group wanted a course run specifically for them then they would be more than happy to accomodate it.

Check out www.facebook.com/bikerdownpowys and sign up for the course so they can let you know what the dates of the courses are which should start sometime in October this year........ and tell all your biker mates

  Starting issues - help!
Posted by: Rikki - 12-09-12, 06:48 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (17)

Had my 03 Fazer for a few months now & been using it daily in all weather. A few times it has struggled to start - it  sometimes seems like the battery is low as the neutral light dims when turning over, but has always started after a few turns. Then next day everything would be back to normal.

Today it won't start at all. It turns over a few times then stops, as a buzzing noise comes from somewhere near the battery.

I'm guessing it may be some sort of electrical issue stemming from the summer monsoons. I'm not good with electrics, not even slightly. Anyone else had any similar problems? Any suggestions welcome. I have a can of WD40 ready, but not sure where to aim it!
