Spot the odd one out - Bracechenko - 12-09-12 [smg id=538] Replaced the plugs on my FZ1 a couple of weeks ago (mission!!) and the plug from cylinder 1 was white? What could have caused that then? Noticed that the bike was running rich and have since had a custom fuel map built and installed onto my PC3 to sort that but clueless as to this white plug?? Re: Spot the odd one out - AdieR - 12-09-12 Looks like corrosion to me; you didn't find water nearby did you? The business ends look OK, so nothing to do with fuel maps. Rainwater being unable to escape, or a slight coolant leak might be the culprit. Re: Spot the odd one out - rustyrider - 13-09-12 No idea on the FZ1 but the FZS600 has drain holes drilled into the head casting to allow water around the base of the plugs to drain away. If yours is the same, it's blocked. Re: Spot the odd one out - Bracechenko - 13-09-12 OK, I'll have a closer look soon to see if I can work it out. I know this want caused by fueling but I just basically wanted to mention I had a custom map lol, awesome improvement! |
