How is it going everyone? I belong to this other riders forum that I'm trying to get more members over to. I belong to Power Sports Directory Riders and a few other forums as well. I don't like websites like facebook or myspace I prefer something smaller and more personal. I like to be able to get on to one of the forums I belong to and ask question or help answer question without having to read a bunch of post on where people are at or what there eating. We could really use some riders with a great deal of experience to help out us newbies. Come check it out you won't be sorry

I recently dropped down a tooth on the front sprocket and have noticed quite a difference in acceleration. I know that the clocks will be out but not sure by how much. The bike accelerates much faster to 160 (allegedly) than before and wondered what the true speed actually was. I have an app on my phone which tracks speeds and is pretty accurate as I have tested it in my car, but I was shocked to find the actual speed was only reading 131 against 160 on the clock. Surely the difference can't be that vast by dropping down by one tooth, so if anyone can shed any light on the speed restrictions would be appreciated.

| Lowering the front for better front end ? |

My bike is a bit light & twitchy at the front end at the higher speeds.
Was thinking about dropping the forks through the yokes 10mm.
Would this improve the front end stability and grip because of moving some more weight to the front?
I know doing this can make the bike turn quicker and lose some stability, but I wouldnt mind as long as i had a more planted front end.

Whats the best way to paint the engine to give it a freshing up?
Prefere using spray paint as would give the best finish, but can it be done well without stripping everything?

Can I ask what your thoughts are on changing the gearing, I am thinking of going down to 14t on the front and up to 52 rear.
What are your opinions on that and how far will the bike come up if I accelerated hard?
