| Bollox! Dropped the bike... Bent a bracket... :( |

Managed to drop the bike the other day, all low speed, too much front brake, skidded over - doh! Nowt serious, couple scratches to faring/belly pan/exhaust and bent crash bobbin. Seriously gutted, as bike was almost mint previously. Guess it's inevitable when you're a new rider though.
Anyway, looking at crash bobbin, it seems its the bracket it screws into behind the belly pan that is bent. It's a small U shaped bracket that bolts to frame, with bobbin going through belly pan into it. Is this part of the belly pan mounting kit? Does it have a name?! Where could I get a replacement?

I have got bad wind today and my office smells like a dry roasted peanut factory.
It's that bad that I can smell it myself and people are actually pausing as they walk in my office and you can see the expression on their face change as the whiff hits them.
I am so proud.

Hi all,bit of advice needed, here goes.
I,m 41 so no boy racer :'( i have ridden bike,s on and off for going on 20 years but only the small things 125,s or 500,s,although only had 125,s for the last 10 years. I will soon get the chance to buy a bike BUT this may be my only chance so i need to get the right bike so it can hopefully see me out till the end of my riding days.I really like the look of the FZS 1000,but my question is do you think i am getting a 1000 to soon or would i be o.k with one of these. Will hopefully be doing a bit of touring with the wife so that is why i have gone for the 1000 as opposed to the 600.
Regards Ady.

| Mid Life Crisis? |

Tony, from Leicester. Not owned a bike for 30 years, and that was a Honda CG125, was going to up to a 250 or 400 Superdream at the time, but had a company vehicle, so wasn't getting the use, so sold it instead.
Now, having just turned 50, have a couple of mates who recently bought bikes, I thought, go for it, so got me a FZ6s to play on! The comments are mainly "Going back to your youth Tony", but I reply, it's more of a mid life crisis.
Anyway, still getting used to the bike, been on a few long burn outs with the 2 biker mates, dropped it once, but getting there!

Hi all - i'm back to Yamaha after brief affairs with BMW 800 Gs and Triumph 800 Tiger. I'd forgotten what 12000 revs sounds like! Hope to learn lots on here. Cheers. :rolleyes
