  Finally found some handlebar clamps
Posted by: JayB - 30-11-12, 01:01 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

for my Gen1. They are from a Triumph Tiger 1050.

They appear to be approx 25-27mm (can't remember now measured them Tuesday) from their base to the lower side of the handlebar tube, so will lower the bars a good inch, bad thing is I may have to drop the forks slightly again to let them fit.

I will do some pictures of them off and on the bike comparing them to original.

Hoping this alleviates my arm-ache I'm getting on the bike, or it's gonna back to something sportier. Strange how I can't seem to get comfortable on a more upright bike!

Request for pictures from the NEC
Posted by: Poodyboy - 29-11-12, 10:32 PM - Forum: General - Replies (13)

I have a favour to ask of anyone going to the NEC.

You will have the immense privilege of seeing my new bike - which I myself have yet to clap eyes on despite having forked out money for it.

So anyone going, could you please pop past the BMW stand and get lots of photos of the HP4 I assume they'll have on the stand, and then putting them on here so that I can actually see it.

If you're feeling really generous you could also ask the techie guys to confirm what the OEM tyres are going to be (I understand that they are HP4 specific Diablo Supercorsa's), and what their thoughts are of temporarily putting Michelin Pilot Road 3's on, which would mean reducing the rear 200 section tyre to a 195 (same rim size, and the base S1000rr has a 195 rear, so I assume it would be ok).  Supercorsa's would never get up to temp in the cold and wet and would grip like a wet fish, but PR3's are astounding wet weather tyres.

Thanky-kindly  :kiss

  touring luggage
Posted by: chris.biker - 29-11-12, 08:58 PM - Forum: General - Replies (6)

My wife and I will be travelling in France next year on my 600 and have been looking at the luggage options for holding everything, I have told my wife we will have to pack light. So why does this look like the best option, I imagine this chaps wife is in the shot if you look hard enough.    http://www.flickr.com/photos/sm-images/4...otostream/

  R1 front take2
Posted by: tommyteeman - 29-11-12, 04:42 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (21)

Ok...so this is another r1 front end conversion, nothing new really  :rolleyes but thought i'd post up pics of the fz1 tope yoke mod supplied by devilsyam, fits str8 on with no issues and totally solves the problem of the front being too low. Forks/yoke and spindle from an 03 bike. I'll run with this for a bit unless an '07 on set of forks/calipers appears !

Some architecture from a recent visit to London. The Lloyds building/Willis Building. (One of my favourite buildings)

I'll put some more up here http://www.facebook.com/#!/ToriAndrewsPhotography when I edit the rest. Please do leave a 'hello' or a comment/like Smile

I also had some great news this week. The Royal Photography Society, accepted one of my images (Out of 9000 images) for their touring exhibition in 2013. If any of you are near Watford in February, it'll be in the Harlequin gallery from Saturday 3rd-16th. (Then it will tour the rest of the UK, but I'm not sure of the venues yet)
The 100 finalists can be seen here: http://www.rps-biennial.org/competition/...egory=None
My pic is 'Georgia' (Fifth one down)
