  Recommend a good drive chain?
Posted by: Grahamm - 02-12-12, 12:59 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

The original drive chain on my FZ6 Fazer, adjusted and lubed (Scotoiler) lasted around 28,000 miles before needing replacement.

Unfortunately the replacement (which I bought and got fitted by a certain shop by Fratton Bridge in Portsmouth...), although treated the same way, is shot after only about 9,000 miles Sad

So can anyone recommend a decent replacement chain and sprocket set that isn't too expensive?

  bars and screen
Posted by: stevierst - 01-12-12, 10:01 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - No Replies

Just picked up my FZ1S yesterday, and love the bike to bits! But there are a few minor points that I would like to adjust, just to make her perfect

Has anyone fitted alternative bars or extended them, as the factory ones seem a little narrow for my gibbon-like arms.
Also I have a touring screen fitted and get deafening turbulence from it. Any views on a better screen? When I lift my backside 3-4" off the saddle, it goes all quiet.

For anyone in the North West, you might be interested in the deal that my local bike garage is doing. It's a winter service for a great price. The owner is a brilliant mechanic and has been featured numerous times in FAST BIKES Magazine.
