  Rear suspension parts
Posted by: Johnnylad123 - 26-04-20, 07:50 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

I've found play in my rear linkage and wondered if anyone has the part numbers to get them from bearing suppliers rather than being robbed by Yamaha?

  Exhaust header nuts.

  Anyone bought/used these?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8x-M6-Dome-Nu...%7Ciid%3A1
I bought a full Motad system a bit back with the idea of removing and storing my still solid original system. I know that the nuts aren't seized cos I have had them off and coppaslipped them, but I want to replace them with dome nuts when I fit the Motad.

  Oil Filter Fitments
Posted by: Looey - 26-04-20, 11:56 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (9)

Probably not, but I thought I'd ask just in-case.

I notice (from owning other Yamahas and also having a later type Oil filter in-stock), that this model Fazer has a particularly small oil filter.

Does anyone know if the larger capacity oil filter from the 2004 onwards fits and works on the carb models ?.

Cheers

I thought I would put up a pic of my Fazer1000, after a good wash. Black Widow end can, Pazzo levers, braided lines, undertray, crash Bungs, small screen and Rizoma bar end mirrors, 6000 miles and one previous owner.

  New topic - Vibrations
Posted by: killerwhaleTRX - 24-04-20, 06:02 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (10)

I really thought going from a tdm900 (tractor) motor vibrations would be at a minimum but hands and bum is buzzing after a while.
Its absolute worse in the front but i cant really feel any vibrations in the tank.

Have you ever had front end shatter on these forks? Need to see if i can dial it better but any tips!
Otherwise ill have to chuck the heated grips and fill the fatbar with lead and heavy bar ends as i did on the trix....

Happy weekend folks & others Smile

Hi, actually joined this group back in 2018 but have never posted anything. Went for the Fazer 1000 as by all accounts it's a great all round motorcycle.
Previously had a Triumph 955i sprint but needed a change and needed a bike that could handle 2 up touring when required. She's a blue 04 and came with full givi luggage.
Due to family circumstances she never got much use last year so now trying to do all the wee jobs to get her working right (Suspension/clocks/screens/etc - the usual)
See you around,
Kev
