  New exhaust
Posted by: Stainsby01 - 18-02-13, 10:51 PM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (5)

Hey up people! I currently own a fazer 600 s2 2007. I am wanting to buy a new exhaust for the bike as the stock one is rubbish! My bike has a givi monokey topbox fitted. The topbox bracket goes around the exhaust. I need to find an exhaust I know will fit onto the bike and still allow the topbox bracket to fasten around the new exhaust. Any ideas people? I wasn't wanting to spend more than £450. Thanks in advance, Matt.

Feckin wife wanted to take them home, not for that! but in case they thought they were hers :lol

  exhaust leak & gasket help
Posted by: reillypadraig - 18-02-13, 02:11 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (21)

hey guys i have been tuning my carbs to no end but i keep getting a backfire and its the exhasut thats the problem, i have a leak at the start of the end can and just realised my exhaust itself isnt standard( i was told standard has a interlinking pipe between some cylinders) mine doesnt, its a 4-2-1 with a scorpian end can. so i bought a standard gasket of the bike and it wouldnt fit? i dont know the bore or the stright lengths or the back pressures of the exhaust system and i cant for the life of me seal it, bike only came with this and not even original clamp? but fits on great????  how could i tell if its a full scorpian system?? exhaust has seen better days and its pitted and rusted. im thinking of just siliconing the bastard up Sad

so what gasket do i need? id need an exact size, as last time i got the size of aj sutton website?

  Snapped Pilot screws

I was adjustiing my pilot screws to the correct 2 turns out, in an attempt to smooth my idle, and 2 of the foccers snapped! (well the tip where you put the screwdriver) Not suprising as they appear to be made of cheese.

Urgh! Any idea of they can be changed in situ, or if I need to remove the carbs.... (its cylinder 1 and 2 that have broken)
