talking to a mate and he said one of his other mate said that Honda bought Yamaha out as  they were having financial difficulty.
personally I think he is talking a load of of tosh.

Evening

• Due to the previous owner 'cleaning' the inside of the clock lense, it fogs up etc. Does anyone have a set of faulty clocks or just the top cover in good condition.
  
• My 2005 is missing the hazard, flash and headlight switch, doe anyone have a left & right switch gear of an early gen1 in good condition..?
  

Last week the bike has been starting perfect in the garage,


yesterday got all togged up in thermal kit went to the bike, pushed it out of the garage and pressed the start button.


Yellow engine light flashing, sonot starting, i stopped to save the battery,


Shit i thought, so did a couple of checks, sidestand switch,brake,clutch levers , put it in gear ,rocked it, took it out of gear, pressed the started and brrrmmmm


So it seems that when stationary and engine stopped something has the ability to cut the ignition,and flash the yellow engine light on the dash.


I did 100 odd great miles yesterday thanks to some good clothing and Oxford heated grips.


And not one more starting problem, so will have to check next time what makes it good.

Anyone recommend  decent textile jacket for about £150 - £200, I've got an RTS one at the mo but its to tight around the neck so I can't do it up properly as it feels like I'm choking.

As the message says, got a grey one up for grabs after I picked up a black one off ebay. Asking £35 plus post (same as I paid for the black one) before I wang it on ebay. Cheers Andy

Been talking to this guy on ebay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/slickfairings to see if they are planning any fairing lowers prices on stuff he does do seem pretty good,

He says

"We've got at least 3-4 months worth of new product work on at present but I will bear it in mind. Funnily enough we are doing the later model front fairing soon, although in fairness we don't really sell many of the 01-05 model we do already."

So maybe if he has enough enquires he may just do some?

Haven't ridden a bike since I was a teenager and just passed by CBT & DAS. So I did the natural thing and went out and bought a 2004 Fazer 1000.

Looking forward to some spring / summer / autumn days out in the Dales.

Do you reply and tell them you own a Yamaha fazer 1000 or a Yamaha FZ1 ??
