Recently took a new rider to Bakewell.Stopped for a coffee and parked in motor cycle bay -where we have parked many times before.25 minutes later, return to bikes and find we both have a parking fine for having no ticket!Never had to pay before-for focs sake -WHERE are you supposed to put a ticket on a bike!Seems Bakewell has decided bikers are an easy target--there is only room for 3 bikes in bike bay -so if you have to pay same price as a car,and bike bay is full --can you park in a car space?--you paid same fuckin price!
Just thought Id let you all know before you get stung too!

Hi, I have never had a pillion passenger, but that may be about to change, and to be quite honest about it I'm quite worried about it.
From even the simplest things like mounting/dismounting, cornering (both at normal road speeds and in slow corners and tight turns and roundabouts), being stopped etc... I guess straight lines won't be a problem tho lol.
Obviously I'll be careful, but am I worrying too much? How is it to ride with a pillion? And do you guys have any hints or tips to help?
Cheers in advance for even the most simple and obvious sounding hints, they will all be appreciated!

Well after 6 years I thought it was time to return to the forum!!?
Got a bit fed up with YUKU - the endless ads & posts from those blokes in Thailand selling cheap Nike trainers & having moved house then taking an age to get the internet working I've only just thought about returning.
Good to see yuku went the distance & some of the oldies & youngies are still around
Miss my old MK1, now polishing my inferior S2 while I ride my rusty old Honda winter hack!
Anyway Hi & looking forward to many more happy hours foccing!!

Hi all,
After a heated debate with a non-biker friend of mine, I checked the MCN - they say that the top speed for an unrestricted Fazer is 135mph.
I've had my bike up to 110mph indicated (in controlled conditions, Mr Plod!), and I've only got 33hp!! Due to heavier oil, I now only get 100mph, but still! I'm guessing 150 is doable on the full 95 horses.
What's the fastest you've been on an FZS600?
