What's wrong with this guy? Is he unenlightened or sommin?
Posted by: Revilo18 - 26-02-13, 03:09 PM - Forum: General - Replies (23)

I pass this guy every day - he's going South, I'm going North. He's on a red 600  - boxeye Mk1. I'm on the same but black, headlight mod, carbon micron exhaust.
I pass him here literally everyday right here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps?q=51.52124...1&t=m&z=16
I've tried the Foccers salute - lots of times. I've tilted head, waved, hollared, bliped engine and horn, but no response!! I know us Londoners are right aresy twats most of the time - but come on!!! Anyone we know? I might have to set the Cardinal on him!

Hi all, this may be a long shot but worth asking on here first. I am in need of an oil cooler for my 03 fazer thou. Mine has sprung a leak due to corrosion. Fitted a new pipe but still leaking.  :'( You never know, maybe one of you has one lying around. Wink

  Google maps & TomTom

Anyone know how to transfer a map on google to a tomtom rider? I like the way you can drag the route on google and it will pick up the roads to contiune instead of plotting loads of A to B's or waypoints.

  European Breakdown cover
Posted by: BBROWN1664 - 26-02-13, 01:29 PM - Forum: General - Replies (6)

I know it's been done before but.....

Planning a trip to the land of the garlic munchers in a few weeks but need to sort out breakdown cover. Imam sorted on my bike but my son's bike is 12 years old. Who is the best (cheapest) company to go with for older bikes?

New Fazer 8 Owner in the Emerald isle
Posted by: blue skies - 26-02-13, 11:24 AM - Forum: Fazer 8 / FZ8 - Replies (6)

Just said hello in the introduction section. Moving from an africa twin to a Fazer 8. This'll be the first Yamaha I've owned in 30 years of motorcycling. I wasn't intending to buy a new bike but whilst browsing (as one does) a local bike shop last week I was quite taken by the looks of the bike and even more taken with it after a test run. It's a demo bike with 50 miles on it and dealer was straight up about wanting to make space for 2013 models so a good deal was had. Likley collect bike next week and from then onwards  hopefully can make some positive contributions to the forum.

Hi all, just saying hello for now. I'm due to collect Fazer 8 in a week or so.. can't wait. Currently riding an Africa Twin for those adventures trips (that I never seem to go on) and a Z650 for those sunny sunday runs (when are sundays' ever sunny over here?). Also being a shorty I've had enough of trying to manage a quite tall bike that runs out of puff around 90 mph+. I'm sure I'll miss the twin but onwards and upwards !!
