pillion seat complaint (?)

neither me nor my pillion have got fat arses. when we ride together there's a gap between us and she slides down from her 'ledge' (by that i mean the raised bit of the seat) and finds herself with her arse half on the ledge half on my part of the seat. she's uncomfy and my balls turn blue. she has to shove herself back to get back onto her ledge.
if i lay over the stank my arse skoots back and fills the gap but i'm not going to ride all day flattened over the tank.
has anyone experienced this? and if so have you solved it? i guess she's going to have to lean on the tank but she's small and i hardly notice her presence on the bike and she likes to cling to me a la koala bear.
we've ridden many other bikes together and never had this problem.
any advice greatfuly received.

Purchased Shark Vision R at NEC show last year from Bikerswear for good price £170.
After using for several rides, seemed to have much more wind noise than previous Shoei
Multitec.
Contacted John-Paul at Shark customer service 2 weeks ago to complain, and he suggested
I return helmet to Bikerswear Birmingham from where Shark would collect.
Anyway, got helmet back yesterday with notes attached saying no manufacture fault,
but they had replaced cheek pads, new chin curtain and complete new hermetic neck pad from Vision R
GT carbon.
Also they had checked all vents and visor seal.
Went out yesterday in gale force wind for an hour, and can't believe how quiet and comfortable helmet is now!
I know helmet should have been quieter when bought, but when manufacturer goes to a bit of trouble
it's good to receive such good customer service.

After some new handlebars

Hello.
I am after some new handlebars for my bike, the only problem I can see about replacing them is the TPS on the handlebars. (or at least that's what I think it is (the plastic bit the throttle cable goes in side))
So I removed this a few weeks ago ( the plastic bit the throttle cable goes in side) as my throttle was sticking ever so slightly, and I noticed when I re-attached it to the handle bars there is a very tiny hole so the click into place if you like. If I bought some new bars would the have that on or not.
That's the only problem I can see when fitting them. I am after some renthal ones.
Cheers Lewis.

Hi Guys, Info, Advice, Help Required Please.
Seriously .. How do you go about teaching an intelligent dog (say a Labrador pup) to bark when (but only when) someone is approaching (or at) you door ?

Hi guys, been noticing a rattle on my bike every now again when pulling away at low revs. It's a loud metallic sound that I can't quite pinpoint but it's on the left, possibly near the sprocket? My front sprocket nut is fine I've checked that. It occurs more frequently if I'm carrying a pillion that is at least 10 stone or so or if I go up a steep hill in too high a gear when it's cold. Oil level is good, I'm changing it soon though. I checked the plugs today and the colour is nice but the outer two were very rusty, this included the threads is that a problem? Can I carefully clean the threads in the head with a cloth soaked in some acf-50?
Also, sometimes when I pull away the revs can drop from idle to around 500rpm for a second or so before it returns back to normal. I have seen the thread about fuel additives and that sounds interesting to try, it doesn't always do it but it is quite random when it does choose to do it. The only time all is seemingly well is if I have been on a ride of at least 10 miles, its usually fine for the next few days but then returns if I do too many short trips at under 4k rpm. I am servicing it within the next month or so, it was allegedly serviced at the dealership I bought it from last year. The engine is really smooth when warm and pulls great its just pulling away sometimes can be annoying, it never stalls though. Any advice would be great thanks.

A young biker from Lowestoft is organising a motorcycle safety event on Saturday 27th April 2013. He has arranged for the towncentre to be available for various displays and dealers etc to try and promote road safety to make biking safer for us all. There will be giveaways and various stalls etc trying to educate all road users of how vunerable we can be as motorcyclists, but how enjoyable it can be to be on two wheels....
If any of you fancy a ride out it should be a decent day with some great routes to and from the town making it a chance to have a run out to the coast and see some new bikes and chat.....
Bikesafe, fire service, police etc will all be there and local dealers hopefully including Honda, Piaggio, Vespa, Triumph and of course Yamaha have all been invited....
This is the facebook page..... www.facebook.com/motorbikesafe

Refitting Exhaust - advice

I've had to remove the exhaust to drill and tap some broken exup cover bolts (i think many of us have been there with that issue) and looking at refitting the exhaust i want to know what i need to order.
I see from the parts fiche below i need:
http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID/26/...up/EXHAUST
4 x 4FM-14613-00-00 Exhaust Gasket
8 x 90179-08655-00 Nut
8 x 95617-08625-00 Studs
But ... i think i want to order some new clamps that are on the exhasut pipe as the old one are fairly corroded but they aren't listed as a seperate part. I'm also not sure if they can even be removed from the headers unless i can "tap" off the top of the header. The parts aren't shown as possible to disasemble, but it doesn't seem right refitting the headers with the old "rings" .
Are they removable ? (and so could be replaced)
