pillion seat complaint (?) - gethyn - 26-03-13 neither me nor my pillion have got fat arses. when we ride together there's a gap between us and she slides down from her 'ledge' (by that i mean the raised bit of the seat) and finds herself with her arse half on the ledge half on my part of the seat. she's uncomfy and my balls turn blue. she has to shove herself back to get back onto her ledge. if i lay over the stank my arse skoots back and fills the gap but i'm not going to ride all day flattened over the tank. has anyone experienced this? and if so have you solved it? i guess she's going to have to lean on the tank but she's small and i hardly notice her presence on the bike and she likes to cling to me a la koala bear. we've ridden many other bikes together and never had this problem. any advice greatfuly received. Re: pillion seat complaint (?) - Anarch - 27-03-13 I know that pain... I told my Mrs. that if she won't stop crushing my cojones I will glue her to the seat. I got this a while back http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-FZS-600-FAZER-00-03-TRIBOSEAT-GRIPPY-PILLION-SEAT-COVER-ACCESSORY-/360622066237?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item53f6c00a3d It does improve the situation a little bit. Re: pillion seat complaint (?) - JoeRock - 27-03-13 As above, get a triboseat and the job's a goodun, once she's gotten used to it she won't even need to hold on unless you pick the front end up - just a case of holding with your legs ![]() Re: pillion seat complaint (?) - packie - 27-03-13 Same problem here and now sorted....I showed my pillion the door!! Re: pillion seat complaint (?) - Panthor - 28-03-13 Just eat shit loads and get fat arses that fill the gap. SimplesĀ :lol I just bought that grippy seat cover that's already been posted, works well and I don't have to buy bigger jeans. Re: pillion seat complaint (?) - kebab19 - 29-03-13 This problem gets worse if you have fitted jack-up plates and / or raised the forks up through the yokes. There aint much room on the rear seat, particularly if you have a 98/99 bike which has less pillion room & higher footpegs, also giving you knees into armpits on the brakes. |
