I'd appreciate your opinion on seat replacement for my FZ1S 2008 gen2.
I've had an incident with lower back recently (riding over pothole) whereas I had to move around the same way as my pregnant wife for a week.
After that i've decided to invest a little into backside comfort.
After speaking to Tony and looking at fleabay the options are as follows - re-foamed stock from TA for around 60 squid (it'll be higher by abt 25 mm tho) or Yamaha Comfort Gel one - on ebay £100-200.
Have you had any of those? Opinions?

At the moment there are loads of gen 1 thous on there 60 ish, that's the most I have even seen for sale at one time ?

Morning all, just a quick couple of questions - underneath the clutch lever is a small switch which is normally depressed by a flat plate on the lever ( It allows you to start the engine when in gear while disengaging the clutch )  I have just put some adjustable levers on but the switch wont work until I have the lever set at max adjustment , what I would like to know is a) Is the switch plastic and b) could I shorten it a little so as to allow the lever a little more adjustment,cheers Steve

Speaking to a mate last night in the pub during what was supposed to be a football match  :eek .
He says a fella at his work bought an FZ1, kept it for 2 weeks and sold it 'cos he couldn't handle the power. Fair enough I thought, nice to be honest, then he tells me he traided it in for an R1  :eek :eek  :rollin

Its a long shot but i need the following parts for my 2004 Fazer 1000 after hitting the deck

Fairing( in black if poss)
Rightside footrests
Rightside fairing infill( watching one on ebay)
Standard indicators

No mad rush as I aint riding at the moment due to a busted collarbone, but would be grateful if people would let me know if they spot any of the above items anywhere.

I'm having a clear out, so a job lot of Fazer 1000 gen1 bit n bobs.

Fazer Bottom yoke with steering stem for R1 fork conversion, genuine rear grab handles unmarked in the fast blue colour, clear Indi lenses, pair of dog bones will raise back up, original rad protector, 7 iridium spark plugs used but not done many miles, bar risers, bag of genuine various fasteners, 3 genuine new oil filters, brand new yam throttle tube, couple of new engine cover gaskets, foot rests and various other bits and anything else i find you can have.
