Of localised fire and police services in scotland. As of monday, we go federal.
We received an email from the chief to say as it was both the end of the service and his tenure as (*ahem* retired and came back) chief he gave us a half day off. He ended by sarcastically saying he was our best ever chief. He's a joker
If he really was the best ever, he would have given us the full day off-

Guys,
Got a full face HJC helmet with the double-d ring fastener. its not my favourite mode of fastening due to FFS (Fat Finger Syndrome) and prefer the ratchet style of the Caberg helmet.
However - the Double D ring has a red pull tab on one of the double-D rings to help to loosen when taking off. Problem is - mine was pulled off
Can someone confirm WHICH ring the pull tab is fastened to - im going to replace with a velcro zip tie.

Anybody found anything to touch up the paint on their mirror arms, looks like the standard stuff might be susceptible to frozen bugs ?
It's not really matt or gloss, just need the odd chip tidying up.

I like android buy it's little things like this that narf me off.
Listening to a bit of the Beatles yesterday via a2dp and my android alarm goes off. Can I turn it off using the headset? Can I hell. I can skip tracks, mute the music, turn the audio volume up and down but the alarm..... It just keeps on trucking.
I had to pull over, take my gloves off, take my phone out and turn the alarm off.
Silly operating system.

Has anyone had an Micron exhaust of their FZS 600 and shortened it down before?
Being a Micron, mine has 3 bolts holding it together at the face of the end of the can. So i assume i would have to cut it in the middle and maybe reweld it, instead of the usual cut just a bit off the end with other cans which use rivets.
Also i was going to cover it in 3M Carbon vinyl wrap. I had a small piece and had it stuck to the underside of the can for a few weeks and it never melted or bubbled. But would it last if the whole thing was done and over a longer peroid of time over a maybe warm summer? :lol

I've not noticed anything odd with the bike since I bought it, but kinda want to check to make sure the valve is moving.
I've unfortunately not got my Haynes manual with me so can't check how to do this, but it is basically a undo the cover (looks to be 3 normal bolts), take it off, turn the bike on and rev it a bit, and make sure the valve is moving when the bike revs? Out of interest, on the other side of the exhaust pipe there are two small allan key bolts, what exactly do they hold to?
I imagine this would be much easier with my manual :lol
