  Bourton on the Water Meet 2013 - ( now June 2nd )
Posted by: thecert - 07-05-13, 08:29 PM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (79)

Hello guys and girls, how's about another meet at our BOTW venue real soon, if we keep on leaving it you know what will happen it will be to late again and another year will have flown by.  :rolleyes    :'(
So I would like to suggest Sunday 2nd June that's four Sundays from now, if for some reason that is bad for the majority then let's put it to the vote and come up with a date to better suit everyone.
For those coming along for the first time, dedicated bike parking is normally available opposite the chippy  in the main high street GL54 2BY and we meet from about 11.00 am onwards.
Come on put your name down you know that you want to,  :lol
See you there.

Hi guys, just about to finally fix my forks. I've got all of the oem seals, clips, bushes etc ordered from AJ sutton but the OEM tube is quite expensive. I found these on ebay, what do you guys think?

So who would you ban from using the NHS?
Posted by: Streetbudgie - 07-05-13, 07:07 PM - Forum: General - Replies (72)

In an effort to get this debate off the protective clothing thread which has nothing to do with banning people from the NHS I thought I'd ask the question:

Who would you ban from using the NHS?

My list is below

Anyone who is a non UK resident
Anyone requiring cosmetic surgery for vanity reasons only - this DOES NOT include reconstructive surgery

Pretty much that's it, I'd like to add smokers, obese people, the feckless, the people who have been in the country 5 minutes but have UK residency BUT... I can't, morally everyone is entitled to treatment, I can only justify refusal on the two grounds above, when I travel I have insurance, when I wanted my teeth sorted I paid out of my own pocket - I lead by example.

  FZS600S For Sale
Posted by: Urban Tangleweed - 07-05-13, 06:44 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

This is my girlfriends bike. She bought it in July 2000 after passing her direct access but never really found much time to ride it, and she's now decided to let it go.

The bike is absolutely standard, and in fantastic condition all but for a few minor scratches on the left hand side from a zero mph topple over some years ago. The paintwork is unmarked.

It has covered a genuine mileage of just under 3000, has always been garaged and never ridden in the rain. It looks almost like it just left the showroom.

12 months MOT and 6 months tax, asking £2750, you can also see it on the MCN website:

Just done 75 miles riding like a nun, and put just over a gallon in to full her up. Fuelly app showed me 72.9 mpg!!!
It was the most boring 2 days commuting I've ever done!! :-[

Has anyone done any better?  put your best mpg figures down and let's have a look.Big Grin

Has anyone UK based had a remap rather than just the power commander? I've heard a bit about it from our USA cousins, but don't know if there's anyone over here that does/can do it.

  Motorcyle accidents

Sad note to end the bank holiday in Scotland--4 bikers died in accidents in different parts of the country from the borders to the highlands, great roads but there's always danger--be careful out there.
