Hey guys,
Just had the strap holding my fuel can on, was wondering if anyone happened to know whether the fuel cans were likely to be a standard size, and as such whether I could buy any old strap for it? Would just get one off fuel as they also do the baffle I need to buy for it, but rang them up and they're closed to Friday!

| Clutch Spring? |

Inside my front sprocket cover there is what looks like the remains of a spring, I assume to pull the clutch cable taught (excuse spelling).
Clutch works fine; is it a spring, do I need it, can you get them?
Cheers,
Andy

I have a 2000 plate Fazer, just got last week. Not sure when it was last serviced, so what do people recommend I should carry out as part of its first service with me?
Oil change, filters, much else?
Also, where do people buy their consumables for this?

Hi all, just dropping by to introduce myself - new to the fold, passed mod2 on Friday and bought a Fazer about 3 seconds afterwards.
See you around.

Hi everyone.
Great to be a member of this site and a fellow owner of this beast of a bike.
Another proud owner of the FSZ1000 !
I rode one of these GEN 1 bikes in Thailand last year and have upgraded from my Suzuki GS500E recently as had to have one of these beasts.
Bought my FZS1000 2001 model two weeks ago from a guy who bought it when it was 1 year old.
He has tracked it 12 times at Eastern Creek in Sydney and has had the Emulsion Tubes and Jet Needles replaced with aftermarket and a Mega Cycle pipe fitted all prof done at a racing shop on the dyno. He told me 135HP at the back wheel. Plus -1 up front. Low wide almost flat bars. Stiffer rear spring. 57,000 kms. Full synthetic from the start - thank god for that!
This bike feels half the weight of the standard one I rode in Thailand which felt a little heavy on slower corners.
Around town is goes really well and smooth but I won't really know it goes until I get out of town to line it up down a straight to see what she's got.
Popped some new Conti Road Attack 2's on the weekend.

Just had a rear wheel bearing fail on me - fortunately just a couple of miles from home so I was able to 'limp' back. I've seen it happen to others but only on much higher mileage machines (40k+), my 04 gen 1 has only done 20k, does that seem low for a wheel bearing failure? What sort of mileage should you get from bearings? And should I be replacing the front bearings as a precaution?
