Off ebay £5 Re: led rear brake light - ade the blade - 13-05-13 evening mate......if they are the SMD type then they are a total waste of money. utter shite ! put your old ones back in ........and breathe, everyone i speak to about them aint got any positive comments to give. type SMD bulbs into arsetube and listen to the reactions. sorry ! :'( Re: led rear brake light - yamy - 14-05-13 cheers lads only a 5 so not too bad Re: led rear brake light - Jamieg285 - 14-05-13 I've found LED bulbs to be a bit of a minefield. There's all sorts of designs, types of LEDs, numbers of LEDs, etc. and they keep bringing out more. It's not helped by the fact that most of them are coming from China where the quality is unknown until you get them. They range from non-starter through to pretty good, but you can't tell which from an online advert. >: Also, take a look at the design of the light you are using (not looked at my rear light yet, so I don't know). Are they designed so that the light is direct from the bulb, or is the light reflected from the back of the housing? Bear this in mind and look for LEDs that are pointing in the right direction. If it is a reflector type, there's no point going for a bulb where they all point backwards. The only advice that I can offer is try different ones. Eventually you will find one that you are happy with (and lasts more than a couple of weeks) I can't tell you how many you will need to try before you get there and how much will be spent doing it.
