I have just advertised my Fazer on eBay Motors.
Owned from new: 9816 Dry Miles, Garaged. Recent brakes, fluids, filter, plugs, and carb service. MOT to June 2025.
Pics, Video, details... See: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196490957590
Happy to answer any questions. (Maybe best to message via eBay)
It's advertised at £2,099 which reflects its condition and the bits and bobs i'm selling with it. You can make a (sensbible) offer via eBay.
Already had an offer from a breaker, but I'd prefer it went to someone who's going to enjoy riding it.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi folks.
Bike was running fine up until yesterday.
Had done a motorway dash (approx 120/130 Kms @ 140kmh+ the entire way...)
Reserve light came on with about 30ish Kms left of the journey (half motorway, other half normal town speeds)
Yesterday evening it was reluctant to start (3 attempts) and was a spluttering a little a low revs.
This morning, very reluctantly started - got the gear on inside but hear it running crap, died before I got downstairs.
Got it going but didn't want to stay running.
Won't start now.
(Had already decided to get the bus at this point, did notice fuel on the ground, presumably from flooding it and that was overflow)
Question is,I'm pretty sure I've sucked up something from the bottom of tank - any suggestions for a possible fix that doesn't involve taking the carbs off?
(Is there possibly an air lock rather than debris?)
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated - it's my only transport and my mechanic won't get a chance to get into it till next week, only other alternative is ring recovery and get it sent 200km away- and that's not guaranteed as hes likely busy too!
Thanks in advance.

Front brakes - piston fell out |

Hi All,
You've not had a good laugh at my expense for a fair while now, so I thought I had best try some DITY on the bike.
Front brakes were squeaking so thought I would give them a clean, like, surely even I can't foc that up.... WRONG!! ha ha
Cleaned one calliper, pads were a little low so ordered some new ones (SBS 634HS, incase you ask).
All going well, on to next calliper. Pads out, bit of a clean. One piston not moving so well so pumped out a little. kept pushing other calliper pistons back as they kept moving too (remember the pads are still out) and then a tiny knock and the sound of running liquid. FFS, a piston on the 2nd side has popped out as a result of me pushing the other ones back in.
No, I've not been here before. So, am I ok to pop the piston back in (might as well give it a proper clean while it's out). Do I need to worry or do they go back in ok? And now I'm guessing I'm in the realms of having to refill the brake lines and bleed when the new pads arrive? ARSE!!!!!! Why does nothing ever go to plan with me?? LOL

Rear indicator - nut and washer |

Hi
Currently bringing my FZS600 02 plate back to life after nearly five years.
One of the rear indicators was snapped at the neck so I ordered a replacement that I think looks like the original....It is huge compared to the one that was on there.
Anyway as I suspected the unit was posted without a retaining nut and washer.
Can anyone advise where to source nuts and washers for this task?
Thanks, Richard
Also, I will be buying a matching unit for the other side, Unless anyone can suggest replacement indicator sets that look good on this bike.

With the server upgrade carried out by the forum hosts it proved one step too far for the ageing software we were using so we have had to jump to the new software we have been testing for a couple of weeks now.
- Its not perfect, there are still some issues but if you spot anything, tell us - we may not have noticed it yet.
- If there are any changes you would like to see, tell us - we may not have thought about it yet
Tell us by responding to this thread and we will see what we can do.

Renthal 758's |

I have just purchased a set of 758's - not to bling up the 'Thou, but to see if they will help in any way to the nirvana of comfort :lol
I remember reading on here years ago, that you had to drill and tap the end of the handlebars to fit the bar weights, however, looking at the ends of the bars, there is no material to drill or tap into!
So, my question is - a). Am I looking at getting some nice new bar weights for the Rentals, or b). do I have to even bother?

Hi,
I recently did a DIY job on my motorcycle splitting the engine case and replacing second gear on my fzs1000. All went well and now i can dry my bike again woop woop.
However i'm having an unknown ticking sound. Maybe a bolt is loose, or is that the sound of cam chain rattle, or something worse? please advise. It's worse coming off throttle which would suggest cam chain, but there's just also alot more vibration when you release throttle...so i'm not sure.

that's the mp3 file.
