How do people find the riding position on the fazer? I've covered around 300miles so far on mine after having it about a month, and on some of the longer journeys (around 150miles), I start getting pains in my lower back and shoulder blades.
I'm 6ft but have longish legs. Is there a way to make it slightly more upright by using some different dog bones or handlebars?
My only fear is at the end of august i'm doing John O' Groats to Lands End with my dad and the overall trip will be around 2000 miles!!!
Any advice would be gratefully received, for either comfort or touring (as it's my first major venture into touring!!!!)

Hi I need some advice but new to foc so hope it's ok , had my 03 foxeye since 2004 and done 20k ,had an off in 2007 ( numpty jumped a light in front of me ) and bike sat for 4 years until I got off arse and rebuilt her , bike went down hard on right and damaged starter clutch cover , which I replaced including bearing , all was ok but soon after started to get a whine in 4th 5th 6th gears which rises in pitch with revs and bad and I mean bad vibration that feels like a grinding at 5-6 k Rpm , it's so bad left foot peg keeps coming loose ( worse than normal fazer vibe) noise goes with clutch in so it's not road noise , also gearchanges very clunky and sometimes misses gears , changed oil and filter and gearchanges better but still clunky , checked carbs with Morgan carb tune and they are within Yamaha tolerances , got a k&n air filter and under 1000 miles( but 2 years) since plugs, oil and filter previously changed , chain and sprocks done less than 2000 miles and look ok but when it was done by idiots at FWR in London front sprocket come off on way home , didn't think it did any damage at the time but now not sure . Don't know if its related but got intermittent handling problems as well , frame, forks and yokes checked by ins assessor after accident and told me all straight , so if anyone can suggest anything as I'm scratching my head at worried its gearbox related which is beyond my talent and wallet , shame is its in great condition and I loved riding it but now hate it and avoid it like the plague . Any replies would be greatly appreciated
