I have been running without a working Ex-up valve for two weeks now. Aside of the rev counter jumping from 0 to 7K and my gear indicator not working because it runs from the rev counter, the bike is seriously down on power, it uses loads more petrol and the valve has now started to rattle on start up. Hopefully all sorted this weekend (if the servo motor turns up in the post Grrr)

Coming round Piccadilly Circus to a wall of pedestrians crossing the road on a red man, my green light, horn firmly depressed blaring away whilst slowing slightly yet people still step off the kerb lemming style following the person in front.
End result, I knock down a girl being dragged across the road by her boyfriend, luckily I stay upright, then they're surprised that I'm not in the best of moods and shouting, yes I calm down and check they're ok, ankle looked pretty knackered but didn't want an ambulance.
Fine, see you later!

Hello Folks,
Has anyone tried the Spy Motorbike Alarm?
http://www.motorbikealarm.co.uk/shop/spy...ry-backup/
The feature I like is that is has a remote which can sound the alarm on your person or in your house, rather than having the bike itself making a racket.
Has anyone tried one of these and have an opinion of it? Recommended?
How tricky are they to fit? Can be done without cutting my wires?
I don't want to wire up the immobilizer or remote start features - those things make me nervous. Just the basic alarm features would be fine.
Anyone who has fitted happen to still have the bike-specific wiring diagram they send?
Thanks, Andy

Chain adjustment according to the manual is checked with bike on the centre stand.
Is the 30-45mm slack range designed to allow for addition of rider weight and luggage with maximum load being 183kg.
If so is it best to make adjustments according to situation ie if touring with her indoors riding pillion clutching her handbag containing the kitchen sink, would the aim be to have 45mm slack unloaded and say aim for the 30mm if lucky enough to get away with just the kitchen sink and leaving her in doors.
Does the suspension setting also come in to play

Just dropped in to say hi to fellow Fazer owners. I have an FZS600 in red, 2003 model, having come back to biking after 8 years, although I'm on my 2nd. year with this lovely bit of kit to date!
