My Gen 1 now has 68,000 miles on it and I wonder if I should be thinking about a new clutch. Would EBC clutch plates and OEM springs be the way to go? Is there anything I should now about or is this any easy job? I watched a You Tube video of a guy changing a 600 clutch and it looked very easy. Any information would be a great help. Thanks

Just joined this excellent website/forum, having 2 weeks ago purchased my first Fazer 1999.
Planning to do the headlight mod at some point, and replace the brake hoses with braided ones.
Also, I hear a couple of spanish dudes are selling cheap traction control sensors, so i might get one of those too! :b

Why is there so much diesel on the roads in wet conditions?
It scares the life out of me, but just how dangerous is it?

Id like to replace the rear torsion bar on my gen1 600 with a nice stainless/chrome one . Does anyone know if they are sold anywhere ?or can come off another bike for straight swop over. 8)

Sunday morning, joined the A21 on the dual carriageway bit with a couple of mates, for a couple of miles to the roundabout at the end.
Accelerated a bit briskly as we left the slip road and further back in my mirrors saw some headlights suddenly appear, rapidly gaining.
Thought to myself, "where the foc was that copper hiding".
It was then that the Audi RS6 came past us at full chat! What a wonderful sound, it was mesmerising.
Of cause we pinned it to catch him up, did it just before the roundabout where he turned left into a lane and I could hear him gunning it - fantastic!

Hi All
I seem to be getting a loud clicking sound from behind the front sprocket cover when I pull my clutch in. Cable and adjuster both set as standard and the mountain of gunk behind sprocket cover has been removed. Push-rod moves freely. It still happens.
I seem to recall that some on here are not fans of non-original clutch cables. I am - the originals are 30 quid now according to fella in local dealers! However, could that be the cause? I must admit to being stumped by this one......... It seems to run OK but I don't want any long term damage.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Stay safe out there.
