Bike or car
Posted by: fireblake - 22-10-13, 05:21 AM - Forum: General - Replies (21)

It's 5am and I'm in my kecks. Now I can hear the rain pississting down outside. Gotta decide whether to take the bike or the car? Jeans on or all that heavy old wet weather gear. Going is ok it's the coming that'll do me in.12 hours from now and I'll be sat in a cage with thousands of other lemmings and after a day of being cut up by cars whilst driving my truck the best antidote is my Fazer. Hey Ho, better get the gear on then, this bike won't ride its self. Within 10 minutes I'll have Song2 by Blur playing inside my head. Yehaa!

  Wide bars = comfort?
Posted by: adeejaysdelight - 21-10-13, 05:25 PM - Forum: General - Replies (27)

I get pain in my shoulder blades and left wrist when I am riding either of my bikes for any length of time. Especially on the motorway. The same goes for almost every other bike I have ridden too. Except for my mates supermoto, which has silly wide bars. So I conducted a little experiment to see what my natural stance is when I hold "air" handlebars. Measuring from the outside of one hand to the other is 840mm. I have had a look online and found some bars that are exactly 840mm. Has anyone out there changed their bars for the same reason, and if so, how successful was it?

A brand new Schuberth C3  :lol  from Infinity Camberley.

http://www.helmetcity.co.uk/products/Sch...Black.html

It's a cracking helmet - no more rain down the inside of the visor, comfy as hell with excellent fit, top notch ventilation which works a treat and its quiet as fook. Best £390 ive spent in a long time.

And i still didn't get any chain lube  :rolleyes

  Battery, dying?
Posted by: JZS 600 - 21-10-13, 08:39 AM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

If you go out to start your bike in the morning, say this morning for instance, and it turns over twice and dies you'd be thinking flat battery (and wondering why,,,)

If you put it on charge and 10 minutes later the charger tells you the battery's charged, would this be a reasonable indication that the battery's focced?

It's used every day, not checked the charging yet with a multimeter as I'm still charging the battery but 10 mins on the charger to full looks fishy...
