  engine bars
Posted by: expatmanxman - 30-10-13, 09:29 PM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (2)

Well I'm back in the foccer fold, had a fox eye and 2 FZ6s in the past but moved away to bigger (but not necessarily better) things. Have just bought a pristine S2 FZ6, white with red tank stripe, loud pipes  Smile and going to do both track days and moto gymkhanas with it. Need to put some engine bars on it because I have no doubt it will end up on its side at some point, hopefully on a moto g day and not a track day. Anybody got any experience with any particular make?

  Nitron or not
Posted by: Adrian6171 - 30-10-13, 07:27 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (11)

O.K here goes i,ve been told the rear of my bike is starting to sag a little,19000 miles so not surprised, now i,ve been looking at rear shocker options and the 2 i would go for is first the Nitron, set up for my style of riding and weight by an ex BSB mechanic for a total of £390 or looking at the FZS1000 shocker and my spring off the 600.Now i,m no mechanic so i would have to pay for the labour,so which would work out the cheapest and also which do you think would be the best, also have to remember that the Nitron shock has a lot more options for adjustment. So about £75-100 for the shocker and then god knows how much labour or the simple swap with the Nitron. And guys which do you lot think would be the better.
Regards Ady

...in the middle of the desert. Went flying, bar end caught me two inches to the left of me nuts, proper winded me. All because I was racing some Russians who looked like demented extras from mad max two. Guess I'll leave that stuff to the younger blokes now, I've defiinately had my day. Still aches now, gonna have a peachy bruise. Really don't like quads, two wheels are far better off road. Still, next week I'll be freezing cold and soaked thru twatting about on norfolks finest back roads and riding along with the sun burning down on me will be a distant memory.
I still think bike holidays beat all. This package holiday thing is ok, but you can't beat waking up and thinking "right, had enough of this place, what's over the horizon.." And jumping on your bike to find out.
