hi all, after a hell of alot of trouble with paypal, ebay breaking the bike didnt go to well. nothing got sold!!! I was going to make her into a street fighter myself ready for the summer. i got as far as first coat on the engine, forks, hugger. i also cleaned up engine scratch and bits and bobs.
but after passing my driving test this morning i have had a change of mind and would rather get a car than have the trouble and time of a custom rebuild.
the bike its self is sound! as some may have seen pics when she was mint a few weeks ago, but after a wee slide along some grass after leaving the road it needed work. all that was damaged then was the front fairing, 'cracked' a few scratches and bent the rad a bit. she starts and runs fine and will start on a viewing.
I HAVE ALL THE PARTS WHICH CAME OFF THIS BIKE. INCLUDED IN SALE, FULL WHOLE BIKE!!! JUST NEEDS FEW REPAIRS AND A LICK OF PAINT
she has done 16k miles and still a lovely machine. selling to someone who wants a project or to break her up.
all parts come with the bike, but i only put on the basics to get her rolling.
BEFORE BUMP!

I have picked up an SJ1000 cam, which from here on i'll refer to as 'gypsy cam', as a poor mans gopro!
Previously, i had lots of dogcamsport bulletcam equipment, and it did the job well, but had a lot of bulk (batteries, recorders, cables and so on) so i understand why the all in one box has such appeal. The roblem i'm facing, is mounting it without getting godawful vibrations. This is no doubt made worse by the gypsycam cheap plastic mounts, which have a lot of flex in them.
So who has mounted gopro and successfully eliminated the vibration/shake issues? I can easily convert the gypsy waterproof case to accept gopro mounts, or it can use the standard 1/4" bolt thread tripod mount thing.
What do you use?
Incidentally, the picture quality on the gypsycam is superb, but really spoiled by the vibration issues.

My front brakes running EBC HH's lack feel until a few hard applications, they seem to really need some heat before they give progressive feel.
Pads will need replacing soon and I use my bike for commuting and weekends back road blasted, no track riding.
Should I stick with the HH's or go with another compound that provides better feel without needing heating up so much?

The unreliability of modern motorcycles is appalling, in recent weeks my 98 (modernish) has had a plug cap fail, throttle cables go stiff, fuel pump pack up, terminal corrode under the tank for the ignition switch, wire break off the fuel tank sender, and indicator switch stop. All this seem to have happened when the 95 000 miles clicked over :lol , bloody unreliable heap.

Just seen on the news that a fifteen foot diameter sink hole has swallowed a car in highwycombe. Its not the one that cut red98 up is it?
