Hi all, I have decided to put a top box on my fazer but have one question with regards to size of the top box, I would be happy if I could fit one full face helmet in it plus some tools. Have been looking at 51l but looks huge imo.
What sizes of top boxes have you guys got on your machines? Many thanks!

Mines a 1998 with the famous dodgy second gear fault. Been reading up on it and seems  second hand is the way to go.

Before I got my bike the carb rubbers must have been heavily deteriorated and the previous owner has covered them in.... something.


Basically I want to replace them with some fresher ones. Any one got a decent set of used or new knocking around?

Hi all. Have looked on this site a few times so decided I'd better join! Riding a black '99 Fazer that's had a hard life.
I have owned it for 12 years though. Thought I'd get something sensible after a break from biking of 15 years and have
never felt the need to change. The bike does everything I want. Not riding as much as Iused to but hoping to do a bit
more this year with like-minded people.

My new bike didn't come with the underseat tool kit.  I've had a look on fleabay and they are being sold for what seems to be silly money (20 quid plus).


I reckon I could make one up a lot cheaper than that, so, what do I need to include in it?


Spanners, what sizes??
Flat and phillips screwdriver
Allen keys?
I remember the old one had pliers
spark plug remover (which if I remember used the screwdriver for the handle)


Any idea?

How the feck do you use one of these pissin chain breaker tools? I bought one of the Cheapo Ebay efforts to get this chain and sprockets swapped over. I tried to have a go tonight, but it wasnt happening.

I cant find my "master" link, do I need to use it on this link?

Do I NEED to buff off the heads of the pins with an angle grinder beforehand, or do i just use brute force and ignorance with this tool?
