Hi all, just a quick one but wanted to share. I did a trackday at Brands Hatch Indy last week on my trusty Fazer. Weather was beautiful and had an absolute blast.
It really held it's own. The suspension played a big part with the cartridge emulators and R6 shock (thanks to Kebab ) making a noticeable difference since my last trackday. A recently fitted 14T front sprocket also suited the circuit (as well as road riding in general imo). The bike had enough oomph to keep up with more powerful bikes on a short, technical circuit like this and despite it's comparitive lack of ground clearance, Wingrack, crash bars and other unsporty accessories, I enjoyed embarrassing much more exotic machinery in the corners.
For the first time in 3 years and 30,000 miles of ownership, at several points during the day I felt the limiting factor in my riding was the bike rather than me. Goes to show how much the bike has taught me in that time, though it got me thinking about perhaps getting a new bike this year.... but I'm going to find it very difficult to say bye to the Fazer as it just does everything so well. We'll see.
You can do so much with this bike, it's versatility amazes me. I think it's ease to modify to suit your needs is a big part of it's success. I have however reached a point where there is nothing more I can think of to add to the bike... but boy, what a damned good bike the Fazer is!
Hi,
About to replace rear brake fluid.
And I am looking at getting a vacuum bleeder, but a little spoilt for choice.
Which vacuum bleeders are people using are they all the same or different.
Because the Mityvac units without a gauge are £33+
and the Mityvac units with a gauge start at £43
But there are the cheaper units with a gauge starting at £17.24
Been holding onto these from the bike I broke for spares a few years ago. Front tyre in picture not included. Front discs approx 4.8mm thick, rear is the same. Not warped. Front wheel, £60.00. Rear, £40.00
Can't see me finding the time to post these tbh so collection only from Redditch, Worcestershire.
I'm looking for a working speedo sensor for my 98 FZS600. It's the actual sensor on the wire I need rather than the drive dog. Will pay for part and postage.
But enough of that, has any one got any suggestions for a replacement exhaust for my 2012 Fazer 8 ABS?
Not only is the original starting to rust around the bracket weld which is a bit annoying as it was only registered June 2013, but her majesty has decreed we need some thing that sounds a little bit tastier.
Can't really afford to be spending big bucks so was hoping some one out there had tried some of the less 'trendy/desirable' exhausts out there with good results.
Hi all, I have for sale a pair of fazer thou wheels. There are a couple of marks on them but overall there in good condition. They have Dunlop Sportsmax Qualifier RR tyres fitted to them that have done a 1000 miles. The discs and bearings are in good condition £150 collected from Bristol.
