Hi everyone. Thought I'd do a little post regarding my fazer. First I've gotta say thanks to everyone as this site is the absolute nuts regarding fazer info (as I'm sure you're all well aware) and I've put it all to good use. I've been riding around for a month or so exactly as I collected it but last night got the tools out.

Now I've had a couple of 40 mile rides and enjoyed it but getting off my gsxr the fazer obviously felt a little squidgy. My riding mate runs a 59 plate zx6-r and, well it was difficult to stick with him. So with Allen key in hand we set about dropping the front 12mm maxing the rear preload, bar one click and tweaking the rebound and compression. Then off for another 40 mile run this morning and bugger me it's night and day compared to before. Turn in is just right for me now and that pesky zx6 is a bit closer!

I think with some suspension mods (must get hold of devilsyam) plus some new bars this gem of a bike could be with me for some time.

Hope you've all had as good a day on your fazer as me!

| Putting my FZ1 through spanish ITV |

Any forum members living in Spain? I think there might be a couple?? Anyway I am biting the bullet and going to register my FZ1 on to spanish plates. Just wondering if I am going to have problems with the headlight. Is the 09 mod FZ1 headlight adjustable, or is it, as I am hoping just a flat beam??
The guy that bought my Kwacker Z1000SX said when he went to have the ITV (Spanish MOT)done it took all of 10 minutes and they never even looked at the lights so I am hoping they are as efficient when it comes to doing my bike.

Hi
I have a full set of brake discs for a fazer 1000 2 x front & 1 x rear in good usable condition
and also a set of standard fork legs which have had new Seals, Slide & guide bearings and dust covers
Not mint but are still in very good usable condition with no major marks pits or holes
Id prefer collection as both items will cost a fair bit to post but can post if buyer pays postage
im in lincoln
im open to offers but not letting them go for peanuts 8)
im also looking for a nice aftermarket can & link pipe for my fazer 1000 gen 1
Not Overly loud as have elderly neighbours

Hello all. Bought my 2001 fazer 1000 last year after an 8 year spell away from road bikes and selling my beloved KTM EXC. I'm really impressed by the fazer and enjoy every ride. However, after a recent trip to Scotland I had the misfortune to have an argument with bambi at about 80mph!!!! I managed to stay on the bike but know need front forks, front mud guard and a new radiator!!! I am aware that original forks can be hard to get at reasonable prices so will have to go down the used items route. Some people say that forks from other bikes will fit (R1's and R6's). Can anyone who may have done such a mod please help with some good advice???
Many thanks and hello to all.
