  FOR SALE: 2003, FZS600, 16k - £2100 (SOLD)
Posted by: bernieeccles - 27-05-21, 11:43 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

For sale is my Yamaha FZS 600 Fazer, first registered on the 1st January 2003 -

The bike is in excellent condition, is very reliable with a "bullet proof" smooth well proven engine  and having carburettors has lovely smooth fuelling with non of the jerkiness some modern fuel injection bike have. It has 94bhp and can be ridden in a docile manner but if you rev it above 6k then hang on because it can really go.

  • MOT expiry date 5/3/2022.
  • Tyres are Bridgestone BT023 and were new last year.
  • Chain and both sprockets were renewed with quality DID gold chain and JT sprockets.
  • The front sprocket nut was also replaced with the newer updated and thicker Yamaha nut.
  • The bike has the benefit of Oxford Heated grips, a digital gear indicator and a recently purchased and installed Givi V47 top box and rack which alone
  • cost £234.
  • Yuasa battery is relatively new
  • the brake pads front and rear.
  • The front fork oil was changed last year.
  • New oil filter and semi synth oil change today 04/06/2021.
Being the "Foxeye" model, it has the uprated headlights with twin dipped and twin main beam. It also has the larger 22 liter fuel tank which no matter how hard you ride it, you always get 220+ miles to the tank. In some respects, these bikes are better than some of the more modern bikes on the market today. I took the bike on a road trip to Spain a couple of years ago and it was great, selling the bike as I have just bought a new Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX.

Currently have a deposit taken, so if it dosent sell then please enquire etc.

  FZ1S vs FZ1 SA
Posted by: Jrebera - 25-05-21, 01:28 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Can anyone help - what's the difference between an FZ1S and an FZ1SA? I assume the latter has ABS?

If that is correct, can anyone advise? I want to change Rotor Assembly for the stator - apparently the magnets can come loose from the stock version and wreck your engine. Every assembly housing I can find is for the FZ1SA - will that fit my FZ1S?

Please only answer if you know the answer rather than having a guess - cheers buds.

Admin Pls delete.

Hi Peeps  :lol

Anyone scrapped a Gen1 clutch casing & saved a good "Not scored" clutch shaft?
Mine's a bit scored on top bearing surface due to a worn bearing.
Not in any rush as bikes stripped for a refurb.

  Aerosol Bike Paint.
Posted by: Gaz66 - 21-05-21, 08:46 PM - Forum: Your Suggestions and How you can help - Replies (1)

My local paint refinishing supplies do Aerosols mixed up to any bike colour for £10.95 a can, also 2K Clear Gloss & Satin lacquer too which is fuel & UV resistant to yellowing at same price.
Just done my Gen1 frame with the correct Dark Grey Pearl basecoat & Satin clear, looks amazing, way better than Yamaha's attempt.
I assume they'll post it out if asked for a reasonable charge.
Other paint suppliers like RS paint for example have been ripping us off for yrs.

Hope this helps any other Foccers that are planning to refurb their own bikes.
