so its been awhile since I've been on here after i sold the Fazer 600 and brought an R1 i swiftly named Triggers Broom  , had it a couple of years, then got a R1 5vy which i still have.


Had several bikes to commute on (scooters 125 ,AJS Cadwell 125, Xmax 300,) but recent thought Fazer 1000 Gen 1, so i brought a bit of a donkey in the looks dept (badly painted wheels /engine/ rusty frame but only surface) but 2 previous owners and 34k miles.


it has a few issues.. no mot, no neutral light, right indicators/ hazards don't always work but the main concern is its clunky from 1st to 2nd, i haven't ridden it yet but is this normal , seem to remember my 5JJ was the same.

Can anyone tell me bolt and nut sizes for the wishbones are? because both my local dealer/s and Fowlers don't know or cant tell me.

What’s the best gear indicator for a 2005 Fazer 1000 and how easy to fit thanks

I have a 2005 Fazer with the r6 shock conversion shock needs replaced. anybody know if the 2018 r6 shock will fit

After fitting the Nitron R2 shock I couldn't leave the front end as it was, could I!

I have yet another problem with my yamaha fazer fzs 600 2003. The bike is stalling every time I put it in gear, first of all I suspected an electrical fault so I tested both the side stand switch and the clutch switch all working ok.
I have tried adjusting the clutch cable but this appears to have done nothing? Finally I put the bike in gear and check the back wheel to confirm it was in gear then I pulled the clutch lever assuming the rear wheel would now turn freely(bike on  stands). Bang! The bike appears to still be in gear with the lever pulled, I've adjusted the cable both way but still no joy. Finally the question would you suspect the cable to be stretched and so doing nothing or something else?

Sir Frank Williams: Formula 1 team founder dies aged 79

I got into F1 in the mid 1970s, so watched it through the Williams glory years and it's been a real shame that their fortunes have declined so much since then.

Recently there have been a couple of documentaries about Frank Williams' life and it's incredible how he managed to carry on running a team despite being mostly paralysed in a car accident.

He was the last of the "Team Name" principals and his death is a sad loss to the sport
