Hi all,
My 99 fzs600 has developed a weird electrical gremlin that we can't seem to fix. Sorry if this has been posted before. I tried a search but could find this described anywhere.
The fan turns on as usual when it gets hot, but it doesn't turn off. The thermo fan switch is near new - was replaced 2 years ago and it's been working fine turning on and off until around 2 months ago.
The bike doesn't seem to be overheating.
It's like there is a busted relay but I can't seem to find the relay that runs the fan. The wiring diagram doesn't seem to even show a relay on the fan but that doesn't make sense.
Has anyone had this before? I've tried 2 mechanics and an auto elec - but they can't seem to find the issue.
Does anyone know what relay runs the fan or had this issue before?
Thanks in advance!

Having a clear out before I pick up my MT 09 and thought I’d see if anyone interested in a few bits from my garage
Arrow black carbon tip oval can and link pipe for Gen 2 good condition
Yoshimura Carbon Tri Oval can and link pipe for Gen 2 good condition
New A16 black can and link pipe for either gen 1 or Gen 2
K&N filter for Gen 2 never used
Black with Red adjuster stubby levers for Gen 2 good condition
Power commander Fuel controller for Gen 2
I think there’s some black standard OE bars for Gen 1 and black grab rails for Gen 1
I haven’t thought about prices yet but if anyones interested PM me and I’ll work out prices and sort out pictures etc

I know that plenty of Gen 1 owners have successsfully received CoC certification without problem. However I completed the form this afternoon with relevent attached frame and engine numbers, and got a reply within hours to say it’s not ulez compliant. I thought all Gen 1’s had a NOX of 0.09 which is way below the ceiling of 0.15 required by TFL. It’s a 2005 and have owned from 8,000 miles. Any idea why I got the thumbs down.

Japan's Big Four Form New Battery-Swapping Company For Motorbikes |

Like it or not, Electric Motorbikes are the future, so it's good to see big companies working together to make things easier for everyone instead of creating a whole load of different (and non-interoperatable) "standards"...
Since 2019, Japan’s big four motorcycle OEMs—Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha—have been working together on swappable electric vehicle batteries and associated technology.
[...]
It’s now March 30, 2022, and the Big Four just announced their next move on this project. Together with Japanese petroleum company Eneos, the consortium is establishing a brand-new company called Gachaco. The new firm will officially be established on Friday, April 1, 2022. Its two purposes will be the sharing of standardized swappable batteries for electric motorbikes and the development of appropriate infrastructure to support this service.

Hello one and all, new member been loitering around here since I got my 600 03 fazer last year. Been riding for quite a few years now but a couple of weeks ago was a first.
I have discovered it really isn’t big or clever to set off with the disc lock still attached!
And so one fairing repair later and we are up and running again, just got to repair the bruised pride now….
Ken (hanging around in the Cotswolds when I’m not in the Isle of Man).
