  spongy clutch
Posted by: Grant1Shepherd - 31-01-17, 05:22 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (23)

Hi guys

Been having a little problem with my clutch recently for about a month and a half/2 months.

Every so often the clutch becomes really spongy for a few moments but then will go back to normal, it's very temperamental and I was wondering if anyone could give me any ideas of what could be causing it?

I don't mind having to buy a new clutch as springs and plates ain't that overpriced, and I already have a new clutch cable waiting

Hope you guys can help as always  Smile

Thanks

  How come?
Posted by: dickturpin - 31-01-17, 11:03 AM - Forum: General - Replies (25)

How come I can buy a box of 100 fuses in a nice plastic divided box, and get them shipped all the way from China for £2.50 when just two of the same fuses on a piece of card cost £1.89 in halfords???

  Hand guards just checking!
Posted by: Townhill - 31-01-17, 09:32 AM - Forum: FZ6 / Fazer - No Replies

Hi to all,
I have searched and read the topics regarding hand guards on the site. I really do not fancy moving the fairing forward a couple of inches. Not sure about cutting the hand guards down either.

Just checking has anyone come up with a fix or make of hand guards yet that will fit the S2 without catching the fairing. Not sure about bar muffs any advice appreciated.
                                                                Thanks Townhill

Front fork re chrome Vs New pattern stanchions?
Posted by: Billy Balthorpe - 30-01-17, 09:52 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

I am currently restoring an '87 FZR1000 and the original fork stanchions are shot, I have some spare FZR Genny fork legs which have some pitting although not on the swept area. New stanchions are about £120 each. Ive heard in the past that fork legs can be re chromed, has anyone got any idea on a price comparison for re chroming Vs New stanchions (@£120 each).

Thanks

The time has come for me to replace my battery. The original battery is a YUASA YTZ10S. Should I replace with the same one or is there a higher power battery I can get. And also can I fit a MF battery.

  scottoiler pipe placement
Posted by: darrenc - 30-01-17, 06:52 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (13)

Hi all, the pipe from the scottoiler to the sprocket is constantly moving and as such probably oiling the road instead of my chain/sprocket, I keep putting it back in place but it keeps moving. The pipe itself is touching the chain where it meets the bottom of the sprocket, could this be the issue? Not sure of the correct placement of the pipe. Any info help or suggestions would be great.

Hi to all,
I just bought yesterday a 2015 fazer 600 in silver. I have been after a fazer for some time now, just struggled getting the one I fancied. Chased a few that sounded really nice then just missed out on them as they had been either sold or deposit taken. Looked at a couple that sounded nice only to be disappointed however chase over with. I will start reading the topics on the site now.
