1998 FZS 600 £550 needs to be gone by thus sunday
Posted by: TOADY - 15-02-17, 10:54 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (8)

1998 FZS 600, just coming up to 30,000 miles, previously crashed (cosmetic damage) resprayed in original colour minus the Yamaha logo.
rides perfectly with good consumables, recent new rear tyre (bridgestone)comes with stainless steel exhaust system. radiator guard, fender extender, tribo seat cover. included also are the standard mirrors and fairing stays ( a new front fairing and screen will be needed if returning the bike back to standard) i also have the standard handlebars and solid black headlamp covers.
I have a whole folder of past receipts and stamped service history plus all old MOT's, the current MOT runs out in October.

please see my other thread for any other information  http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,21830.0.html  as we all spoke about this the other day with regards to price.

all in all an honest little bike for very little money, I'm looking for £550 Bike is located in Dagenham about 20 mins drive away from the M25 services at Thurrock Lakeside.

anybody wanting any other info drop me a pm

Chris  Smile

  Braided brake lines??
Posted by: Wee Rocky - 14-02-17, 08:32 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (12)

Hi everyone I'm sorry if this has been asked a million time's but I'm still learning  (mechanically). I'm doing some upgrades to my 2004 fazer 1000 with the help of my cousin who is a mechanical but is away abroad for the next 2 weeks. I'm going to order HEL braided brake lines and there's 2 options on their site. OEM replacements 3 front & 1 rear or full length race 2 front & 1 rear. Could anyone please advise me on the right choice to make. The full length race option is £30 cheaper but I don't want to make the wrong choice. Again sorry for my lack of knowledge I've just started taking more of an interest in the mechanical side after over 20 years riding and I'm learning from the best in your guys. Thanks for any advice!! Ian

ok foccers so I finally got out for a decent run today and saw my baby in daylight for the first time in months. I never got round to the ac50 this year and put her in the garage wet so the question is what's the best method and products to sort out the ensuing rust ?

  New Foccer in Notts

Heyall

Just got me a Black 99 600 on a cat D, after a stolen/recovered.

Replaced locks, sorting a few bent bits after they threw it in a ditch.  No great timescale to fix, as have a Virago to ride!  Posted a wanted for headlamp frame. Was considering streetfighter, but have found HID's installed, so keeping the lot. I have the original fairing, replaced screen and will do some plastic crack fixing in due course.

Has nice stainless downpipes, but yet to try and start as waiting for replacement clocks to arrive.

James

FOR SALE - Givi Simply 45L Topbox, monokey plate and rails for Fazer 600
Posted by: Wharfe - 14-02-17, 02:35 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

I took this off my '03 Fazer bought recently as I manage well enough on my commute with a daysack.

It's all in good order, the box has no scuffs or marks of any note, and the metalwork is in good order too. inevitably the "pin" at the rear that locks into the box has lost it's paintwork, otherwise it's all good. All fixings, two keys and the original manual included.

Given that this lot, new, is close to £200 on t'bay, £100 gets it. Not keen to split this (unless I get interested parties for box and rails obvs)
I'd prefer you collected, though we can maybe negotiate a meet if not too far,  I'm in Ilkley (LS29) but work in Elland (HX5) and sometimes Ripon (HG4). Otherwise I'll work out a rate for postage.

Photos on request if you're interested (meanwhile I'll try and figure how to upload some...)

Cheers!
