Hi All,I have just changed my rear brake pads on my FZ1 and bled the system afterwards. The issue I now have is there is no feel at all in the pedal. When bleeding there was no bubbles in the line at all but after spending a hour on it, it is no better. I have noticed when operating the pedal the caliper moves/rocks from the piston side, is this normal ? as I've only just noticed it after trying to troubleshoot my issue. Both caliper mounting bolts are in and torqued up correctly and I have fitted the shims off the old pads but also tried the pads without them either way doesn't make a difference. Any advice would be a great help.

hi all
I have got gen 1 fazer 1000 year 2004 .
I getting the bike ready for new biking year I bought this bike late last year I only rode it 6 miles to mot station and back so I not sure how these bikes runs like it feel fine .
Ok back to my question I downloaded instructions do to the tps adjustment but I getting 3,000 not 0 or 5000 or 10000 and I have manually adjust angle of the sensor but no luck :o .
So my question is sensor faulty do I need to get another one as it rides fine and no fault when I reconnect the sensor coupler ?
Thanks for your help people

Hi,
I have been having issues with the bike just not feeling like its got the power it should have....
It also seemed hard to start, always needs full choke and even after warming a little is easy to stall, unless its been ridden for a while and its red hot...
I have checked a few things, Carb Sync, all but one are spot on, cylinder 3 shows a little less reading than the rest, 20 less, so is an issue there.
I also took the chance to measure the cylinder compression and get from 1-4 readings of 110, 100, 115, 102, so varied and well off what the service manual states.
Will be trying to pop some oil in the cylinders tommorow or Monday see what a re-test shows.
Engine has done 47K, and i had to replace the Water Pump and rear wheel bearing when i got it, not well looked after...
I also changed all exhaust studs and replaced the cylinder head gasked whilst in there, replaced spark plugs also.
Anyone any comments, do these readings seem well out or reasonable for a bike of this mileage/age
Anutz
