Just a heads up in case any LOFOs want an excuse for a ride, although the weather forecast isn't brilliant for this Sunday. Thick cloud, 12 degrees C and a breezy Westerly 18-22mph, for Epsom and Brighton. Anyone at a loose end who maybe hasn't seen this event before, it's for pre1915 motorcycles and this is the 78th year of it being run. and is from Tattenham Corner(Epsom) going to Madeira Drive Brighton. The first bikes leave at 8am. They leave, I think in pairs at timed intervals. There's a tea stall near the start, and usually this event attracts a fair cross section of bikes.

Want to change my indicators to mini type (not the car) led? what fits, any links please. Don't want to pay for solid gold type either

Hi everyone.


I've just got the Fazer all back in one piece and started it up for the first time today. It runs but I've got fuel pissing out of the carb breather pipe between carbs 1 and 2. I checked the exhaust downpipes, pipe 1 was cold, 2 was warm, 3 and 4 were hot. The fuel only leaks out when it's actually running, not when stopped, not even when the ignition is on and the fuel pump is running up.


The engine is a replacement that I got off ebay and this was the first time I've started it. I drained the carbs before taking them off last October and they've been stored in a shoebox indoors since then.


Any ideas what the problem might be?

Can anyone advise please?
My speedo is reading at least twice the speed than I am travelling???
I could understand it if the speedo stopped working all together, but for it to register at least twice the speed has me completely bewildered.
Any help from you guys would be much appreciated.

I'm unable to post pictures for some reason. I've posted many in the past and has always been alright up until maybe last week sometime when it start playing up.
Now everything I try to add a picture using the mobile site it just loads for about 2 minutes then takes me to the 'start a new thread' page?
I can post comment fine but as soon as I add a picture it fails?
Any ideas?

Just had my Fazer delivered by Pete from PJS Transwift motorcycle delivery service, highly recommended , would definitely use them again, other couriers are available obviously  . 

As title, i see alot of aftermarket sets on Ebay etc? Not many official yamaha ? Anyone have a good set they are breaking? Are aftermarket sets garbage?
Mot is coming up so gota get this sorted fairly fast

Hey all,


So, I have a used Fazer in my garden that needs the exhaust refitting.  Problem is the engine studs are all shot to hell, and having tried everything to get them out it's looking like removing the engine & drilling them out!!


Apart from the above, the bike is fine - starts and everything.


Having never taken the engine out of a bike before, does anyone have any tips/gotchas before I start?  I've got the Haynes manual, a garage, and a friend with a penchant for fixing up old cars   I'm also going to need new gaskets for the head and for the exhaust headers - does anyone know a good place to buy from??


Will post pics as I go, waiting on garage space at the moment though...
