Out of curiosity, are there many owners like me on the forum who bought their Fazer new and still have it.
I bought my 600 new in November 2003 for €7250 with 1 mile on the clock  and still have it  now  87312 miles later.

Going through its history the other evening: it is on its 24th rear tyre 18th front tyre, 3rd chain, 3rd rear sprocket, 10th front sprocket, 4th gear shift rubbers (needs changing), 2rd set of footrest rubbers, 7th set of front brake pads, 4th set of rear brake pads, 11th oil filter, 2nd set of downpipes (original being on for 70,000 miles) and 2nd set headlight bulbs (Changed originals for Osram Night Brakers and use the originals as spares when touring) and 2nd clutch cable, 2nd set of brake hoses, 2nd set of discs, 2nd set of front wheel bearings and 2nd set of rear wheel bearings, 2nd fork springs, 3rd rear shock (original changed at 20000 miles and replacement Hagon shock returned to Hagon last year at around the 83000 mile mark (It started leaking) and they replaced it completely for half the price of a new one.


Only real extras were Yamaha Engine Bars, Progressive Fork Springs, Hagon rear shock, Meta357t-V2 alarm, Scotoiler with touring kit behind number plate, Tank cover, Tank bag and complete Non Fango Touring kit.



It is still as enjoyable to ride as the day I bought it and very clean for the mileage, thanks to AutoGlym and WD40 

I want to get a pro taper kit for the Fz1 and I have been having a lot of trouble trying to find short bar risers. I am seeing them all over the posts and im hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Any fazer owners live near Basingstoke?

Bikes don nearly 17000 miles.


Its getting so I don't want to ride it anymore, pins and needles in my hands after riding it, plus I get embarrassed taking it to loomies  :'(

Hi guys, just bought a nice SP can from ebay, does anyone know if I have to rejet or will it run ok on standard jets?  I will prob rejet at a later date anyways but not yet if I can help it.

As the advert says I'm not sure that this is the right path to tread but the longing for a CB1300 is strong within me and I don't have enough room to store a fourth bike, hence the Fazer is for sale. Obviously I'm not prepared to let it go cheaply, I need the space more than the money.

I know people on here have mentioned before about issues with the 021 front but what are the issues?
Been ringing around for tyres prices and mentioned that I had 021 to my local guy and he said it is a known problem but did not go into detail.
As I mentioned in my other post about Avon storm 3D Xm my  Fzs has front end problems and 021 with strange wear.

Hi guys
Just went up to my bike (it's been stood for 4 days not started or anything) and notice a tiny puddle of oil.
The bottom of the slump is covered in oil as well but it appears to be coming from even higher than that.
Oil level has gone down but not by much. I have attached a few photos of the problem.
Can anyone let me know where they think the leak is coming from and why and how to sort it out please.
