Is there anyway to tell which weight oil I have in the front forks while I'm changing it?
I know the bike has had MCT treatment and is uprated from standard but not a clue what they have put in it?
I don't want to replace it with a lower weight oil then have to strip them again to re-do it?
Any ideas?

Fitted Ktech 9.5 linear fork springs 10wt Castrol oil and away I went..took an hour of stop and go to get adjustment set for me (spring
preload 2 rings compression and damping 10 clicks toward soft)
Can't begin to tell you how confidence inspiring the bike feels now..went through the twisties from Malvern to Ledbury then Monmouth
to Chepstow and on to Usk..Taking bends is so easy,no drama with corner braking no drifting wide just planted.
Thanks to all you guys for the advice..still got some minor adjustments to go but springs are well worth the money :rollin :rollin

Hi ,
I was thinking of selling my beloved 600 boxeye-fazer , its Red and Black colour scheme 61 800 thousand miles its had loads spent on it , serviced, heated grips , renthal 758 , Newish chain and sprockets front one less one for quicker acceleration etc. Its just had an oil and sparked plug / coolent change last week , body work is good condition, power bronze screens one red, one gold (very blingy) recently new tires , beowolf exhaust. shorty levels , Led spotlights , 25mm dogbones , Black Rear Hugger , givi monolock rack and top box...... Loads of receipts of work done parts bought etc ....
Mot advisory last time 1 noisy exhaust
Mot till September but it will pass
Bad points engine paint is rubbish needs redoing , and noisy cam chain when first started up but goes away when warm , it has cracked carb rubbers but my mechanic says they are ok ....
This bike is fantastic never let me down , super quick and reliable ...
The bike is located in Berkshire
Pm me if interested
Looking for £1150
I will do pictures when I get home

So when the key is turned the needle climbs to the very top and stays there, all the time, however the reserve light still works? And often (not always) when it comes on the needle will jump to the correct level? How do i fix this so it works normally?

hey guys.
thinking about a track day (novice only brands hatch in august) atm i have new set of bridgestone t30 evo's fitted to my fzs600,
my question is can i ride the 70miles to brands, spend the day learning the track, have some fun, and ride home again on the same tyres ?
or will the tyres be done for?
sorry for the novice question but really dont know how tyres last on track for a first timer
PS i have reasonable experience on road and ride hard at times and my tyres usually last around 7000 (t30 evo)

Hi,
I have just brought my 2004 FZS1000 back from Spain and plan to re-register it back in the UK, luckily I kept the old head light which I have just fitted and all works well.......my question is what side should be lit (or both) as I cannot remember if it is just the same as Spain (RHS illuminated) bike is going for mot this week
Thanks in advance :rolleyes
