  Ivanising 2017
Posted by: Fazer John - 10-08-17, 07:59 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (12)

I don't normally post on the forum but felt my visit to see Ivanising Mike today was worthy of mention. I knew from research that Ivanising was money well spent and I was not wrong! I guess it's all been said before but even in my relatively inexperienced hands the difference is amazing! On/off throttle is now super smooth, roll on in any gear or speed is linear, constant throttle is spot on and lean surge a thing of the past! Top end rush is a bonus but the overall improvement in usability at low/mid range revs now makes this bike a joy to ride!.. I don't need to ride loads of miles to know this mod is a winner! Massive thanks to Mike and Mrs Mike who makes a mean cuppa!! Next job....suspension :b

New FZS 1000 owner from Bulgaria
Posted by: sandi - 10-08-17, 01:00 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (8)

Hello guys and gals,

I'm Alex and I have just bought a FZS 1000 Fazer. I believe it's '03 model (I don't think there is a difference in the first gen during production years). It has some modifications done by the previous owner, who was handy guy and made most of the things by himself. The most obvious is that it's converted into an ''N'' model, but not quite Smile. It has a round 7 inch headlight and Givi wind fairing, the turn indicators are relocated due to the absence of the plastics and are all LEDs. The speedometer is a digital one, from R1, calibrated to work with the FZS properly. The headlight has H4 LED bulb (which is very good) and has two additional LED lights mounted on top of the two far ends of the radiator. The brake lines are replaced with braided and off course the exhaust is replaced with, in the case, a carbon fiber Leo Vince, which is really nice as it's not at all loud in low to mid RPM and is loud enough in high RPM (this is with the DB killer). I'm sure there are more mods, that I cannot recall at the moment, will add them later. At the moment the only thing missing for me is the phone holder as I use it a lot.

Regards, Alex.

  Unknown (yet) problem
Posted by: Freza - 10-08-17, 11:55 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (11)

Every time after finishing a ride, if it's passed more than 15min, when I turn to ignition, the pump starts working but shouldn't. You can hear it clicking several times. Then the engine starts (with difficulty) and when it starts you can smell the gasoline.

My mechanic serviced the carburetor recently and changed some rubber seals, for which he suspected could be causing the trouble. For a few days the bike was starting normally and pump wouldn't click after a ride, but now it started clicking again and starts with a difficulty again  Sad
What could be causing this ?

Dread loss of acceleration at low to mid range
Posted by: celticdog - 09-08-17, 07:52 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (8)

On my commute to work this morning I noticed a loss of power at low revs, put it down to the wet weather and the fact that I'd let the fuel run down to the bottom line of gauge.  :o  Got a full tank of fuel on the way home and the bike has been drying in the sun all afternoon. Unfortunately the problem is still there, however the bike still seems to rev freely in neutral. Desperate measures- a smear of silicone around the cracks on the card rubbers and I've even cleaned the air filter, lots of dead flies in there, the k&N filter is now drying in the oven. I only wish the wife was as filthy as that oven. Anyway fingers crossed. If this don't work, any ideas of what to try next?

SOLD (sort of) 2013 FZ1-S ABS for sale
Posted by: Tribal Chestnut - 09-08-17, 01:35 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (12)

Hi folks

Need to sell my FZ1-S ABS.

Owned it for two years, had intended to keep it forever, but sadly I have to sell it.

After about £3,950 for it. Would consider an old Fazer 600 + cash (to me).

17,200 miles

New MOT (well, a few weeks old).

The bike is white - will get some pics up ASAP, hopefully tonight.

Has all three keys, usual paperwork, history, etc.

Nearly new battery, rear tyre, front pads, oil/filter & plugs. Probably no more than about 250 miles on them all. Plenty of wear left on front tyre. PR4s front and rear.

R&G crash bungs, fork sliders/protection, bar end sliders & swing arm sliders/protection, heated grips, bar risers, Fuel exhaust. Will also chuck in a spare (part worn, repaired) rear tyre & a tail tidy (if I can find it).

Few other bits and bobs recently done.

Has some fairly minor parking blemishes etc from scooter riding wankers (& one Harley) who can't park properly.

Bike is located in Herts.

PM me if interested.
