| Rear caliper required |

morning all
My rear caliper on my 600 has decided that it doesn't like the bleed nipple anymore and has snapped off in the caliper, tried the usual drilling it slightly to accept an easy out and a bit of heat and that's where disaster struck, I fractured the caliper! Now what do I do? Either hunt for a 600? One or is there another option ?
Or if someone can tell me how to fit the fzs1000 one as there seems to be an abundance of these?

Hi all,
I know it's not a Fazer, but it may be of interest to someone :-)
I have owned her for three months and have loved the ownership. That engine :001: ! I need to sell the bike to fund a different purchase unfortunately.
The bike is in great condition having only 14.5k miles on the clock. It was originally built in Hinckley and then sold and registered in Singapore. I was told by Hughenden M40 that it was owned by a Triumph Technician out there. It was brought back to the UK in October 2015 and only had a few thousand miles on the clock. It was MOT'd and VOSA checked then and had a service. It most recently went through a 12k mile service with Hughenden M40 before I bought her. The chain and front fork seals were all replaced. I have since replaced the front pads (the originals were a tad low for my liking). and she hasn't missed a beat since. I put a set of spots on the front. These have been removed but could be subject to a deal....
The bike has a gear indicator and crash protection fitted.
I have it advertised on Bike Trader and Ebay for £4150, but I'll accept a firm £3850.
The usual applies - no test rides without insurance/money etc and no Nigerian bankers drafts.
The service book and manual will be with the bike along with all service history from its arrival back in the UK in 2015.

Last December a friend of mine was getting deep into financial trouble due to the delay in selling his second house. Mortgage company threatening to foreclose, council threatening bailiffs over tax etc. etc. He asked to borrow £500 to get him through Xmas, no problem. I lost count of the beers, coffees, breakfasts etc. I bought him as I knew he was broke.
Well he finally sold the house and squared off all his debts last week so I was pleased to receive this morning a plain brown envelope after 8 months of wondering if I would ever see my money returned.
I was less than pleased to open it to find it contained just £500.
Now he always said he would repay me with interest, "A lot more than I would earn in the Bank".
Do I expect too much from friends ????

Hi Guy's,
Sorry about that last message/f-up.
No been on for ages, and for good reason. But I already went in to that kind of.
On to the Fazer. So I was out for a run and as I was in the process of an overtake when the power cut out on me. Baws I thought as I watched the car pass on my inside and the driver giving me a friendly gesture. Silent and awkward sums it up best. So I thumbed the starter and it burst in to life with a backfire. I drove on some 25-30 miles at a steady pace and about 6000 rpm. All seemed ok so I stepped it up gradually to 10000 rpm. The the power died and the engine cut out. Again, once I came to a hault, I thumbed the starter and it banged in to life with a backfire.
This is now the theme of the bike. The electrics are good. The engine sounds fine on idle. It is serviced, I fitted a new battery and the bike has been getting used regularly. It seemed to start happening for no reason.
Any ideas foccers? Hope you are all doing well and living life.

| Tape to fix fairings |

Hi Guys, just exploring options re my bike and broken fairing my first quote to weld and respray was £400 so looking like 2 options, sell bike as is or bodge it.
Does anyone know if there is a clear tape out there that I could stick over the painted side of the break to protect the cracked paint? All the paint is on the fairing, I've not lost any of the paint it's just blown along one crack and split and lifted on another crack. I'm wondering if I can epoxy the inside of the fairing where it's not overly seen and then put some sort of clear, waterproof etc tape over the paint to stop it lifting any more.
Ideas.......... has anyone tried this kind of option?

Hi All,
Looks like my bike will be off the road for a while so am thinking of making it SORN.
My insurance is up in 7 days. How does it work with regards to no claims bonus if I don't renew my insurance? Can I re-insure the bike in say a year's time and keep my no claims bonus from this year or do you have to have constant insurance for the no claims to stay with you?
I'm more than happy to risk the bike being uninsured in the garage just don't want to lose my no claims.
